@melissavera77 Yes, the seat has a very deep recline for a newborn. Plus, you could purchase a car seat adapter to use with an infant car seat or a carrycot/bassinet to turn the City Mini into a pram.
I live in Quebec and the winters are very cold. Is the city mini warm enough? I am just concerned that it might not be warm enough from the top where the mesh is.
@tinasundari I think it is warm enough as long as you keep the cover over the mesh. I have used the stroller in the dead of winter in Chicago where the wind is brutal and as long as the baby is bundled - it's all good! :)
@tinasundari The Elite is awesome BUT the 2011 is wider than a standard doorway which can be a problem! Other than that, the Elite is a much more rugged stroller that can handle all-terrain much better than the City Mini. The Elite is much heavier than the City Mini because of the ruggedness. So, definitely these two stroller do not do the same thing.
@BabyGizmoCompany@BabyGizmoCompany Thanks again for you quick reply. I really like the city mini, but I am not tall and am afraid that the handle is too high. Also, it is lacking in storage space! So much to think about!
@BabyGizmoCompany I have one more question about the city mini! My parents live in the mountains up on a hill on a dirt road. I often go visit them and take walks there. Will the city mini do the job? I used to have a peg perego with four small wheels and I was able to take it out even in the snow. Will the city mini also be ok in a couple of inches of snow? I do a lot of walking (a few hours a day, good weather, bad weather) and want to make sure I buy the right stroller.
i thinks this stroller is a must have once your kid reach the age one 1 year old, the price is affordable, the stroller looks modern yet is very simple to colapse and to open it up, the down side is that the attachments they sell for this stroller by baby jogger are rediculous expensive
There is some padding on the seat back but just not a whole lot. Also, you definitely need two hands to fold the City Mini Double! Not possible with only one hand!

I love the review of baby jogger city mini at the end of your review with the city mini you show us how to fold it but you did not show how to open it but I love the review I think I am going to purchase it. Thank you.
Best stroller in the world. She didn't mention it's aluminum and the frame has a life time warranty and the wheels and fabric have a 1 year warranty. The basket wasn't the largest so now they made a newer one which runs from the front of the frame to the back and it's curved instead of squared.
I have a baby jogger city elite - which is also fabulous - I'm interested in this stroller as a lightweight alternativefor use on public transport - I now know the benefits of the fabulous high quality build and super quality functional design of babyjogger strollers having my own city elite baby jogger already. For a lightweight stroller option I'd say the city elite beats the competition hands down - it's light, it is a dream to push, it has great comfort features for your child. LOVE IT!!!
can be used for jogging/running?

@BabyGizmoCompany Thanksfor writing back so quickly. What do you think of the elite? Is it worth ht extra money or does it do the same thing?

I've heard this is easy to tip backward when seat is reclined and/or with stuff in the seat back pouch. Is it true or just an exaggerated claim?
