fyi. lsx is a term used by racers thats been around since the ls1, it is the equivalent of saying sbc. it just means thats its an ls family engine. recently GM has started making the lsX block, in the past they have branded their high strength heavy block as bow-tie, but i guess they wanted to acknowledge their racing customers by calling this one the lsx.
LSX 'can' make better motors do to the improvments that give it an edge on the regular LS series block. though it can be made to get grandma around as well
Technically there are to types of lsx crate motors the 376 and the 454 the bowtie lsx block can b put on any ls motor makn it n lsx but it wasn't made to b like wow since I have a ls1 its n lsx jus becuz its n ls motor
Cam size and compression. I have a 454 LSX from mast motor sports in my 99 T/A 11:1 comp and 242 248 @ .050 duration 112 lobe sep 626. 626. lift .... made 660 fly hp and 586 fly torque. Thinking bumping comp and a little more aggressive cam along with the 105 fast intake for ls7 heads mine flow 405 cfm @ .650 Real good air flow almost to good. Back to the original question Cam size and compression ?
Actually, LSX designates the GMPP block which is and improved, more stable design than just the normal blocks designed specifically for race and high performance applications. LS-series is the engine code LS followed by a number to indicate its use and engine configuration.
@DontEverJudgeMe666 considering "LS'X'" X being a variable, meaning all the engines you listed, that you supposedly know what you said....is total bullshit...
Damn I can listen to that all day!
