@Deadguy56 really well go live with the homeless of any major city and start the next super group bwahaha.. crazy does not equal talent but theyre also not mutually exclusive. you just hear the sensational stories like van gogh or elliot smith because well there more sensational/entertaining
I realized something the other day. OE is one hell of a thirst quencher... possibly better than my dear old friend KC. I may have to run a few tests on this... you know... for science.
i can't believe this incredible peice of music sparked a debate, of all things, about what shitty malt liquor is the best. they all suck! that's why it's cheap as shit and malt liquor! but then again i guess 'founders breakfast stout heaven' doesn't really have the same ring to it...
this is one of my favorite songs of all time - elliott is some good shit. it was a real bummer when he stabbed himself because i could really use more - elliott really speaks to the heart of an addict <3
Yeah, he does. A lot of great musicians die young and of drug-related shit. It makes sense though, you know? People like to hear about exotic and fucked up stuff, not some fuckin "oh, I went to work today, came home and my wife didn't put out" lol
@WithoutTheFezOn Oh, cmon, do you have any idea how often drug addicts such as Elliott end up killing themselves? According to statistics, one must consider all the relevant facts that we know, namely: 1. He was known to be a drug addict of the highest caliber - heroin and cocaine. 2. He died in a VERY suspicious manner. If one looks at ALL the cases where someone died in a very suspicious manner and was a known addict, virtually every last one of them was a suicide. Its just SO common.
@MrPitseleh I agree with your angle here whatever it is... I mean there is evidence jimmy hendrix didn't completely commit suicide... he was over dosed by his manager-just as an example. and then kurt cobain with the shotgun and his ol' lady. and then john Lennon and the cia.. and then jfk and the cia... terrance mckenna and a cia spore via in vitro inoculation... bill hicks too...Marilyn Monroe's apparent suicide a jfk plot tie -- more motivation for jfk to be taken out too.. to reduce the cia
@Jozsus What I want to know is which way the knife went in, was the serrated edge facing up or down. If I did it to myself the sharp edge would be up but if I was stabbing someone else it would be down.
@MrPitseleh or did his girlfriend do it? or ex? I haven't looked into it in a long time actually I'm from around the Portland area and was really struck by his death...
@Jozsus He and Jennifer Chiba were arguing, she took a shower heard him yell so she came out to see him with an 8 inch kitchen knife in his chest she pulled it out, saw 2 stab wounds and he collapsed or so she says then she called 911 and he died before he got to the hospital. I of course very unfortunately didn't know him personally so I don't know the situation well enough to think which it was murder or suicide. I wouldn't be surpised by murder, I heard she tried to get his $ after he died.
Jimmy Hendrix was never thought to have committed suicide. When you drink alcohol until you pass out lying on your back, you can easily drown in your puke because if you throw up you're not going to be able to wake up and move out of the way.
@MrPitseleh Yes yes, people say 'he got clean.' Lemme tell you something, NOONE gets 'clean' from that type of stuff save for those who find a spiritual cure, typically in the form of attending weekly 12 step programs in addition to attending the 'church' or 'temple' of one's chosen religion. Tell me, have you never heard of 'relapse' before? All I'm saying is that after I hear 'heroin / cocain user' and 'suicide' in the same sentence, it becomes very difficult to consider absolutely...
@aaronhedberg I don't know what she was like maybe she was a real sweet heart or maybe was bypolar and crazy as hell. I'm not going to argue about it cause either way the best musician ever is still dead and I'm not really picking a side either way I'm just saying don't just assume stuff, you just never know.
And you saying that no one is cured of addiction besides through some spiritualistic bullshit is so ignorant it's not even worth addressing. Religion is bullshit and has never fixed anything, only made it worse.
@Watermark0n Hmm... Its true, many who are addicts often experience periods of sobriety... only to fall back on the drug eventually. You said 'he had no illegal drugs in his system.' That may be true, but everyone know he was on meth, heroin, and cocaine. You never really 'get over' those types of things. Carl Jung was a famous psychologist, and with his extended experience with alcoholics, he claims that no one gets over alcoholism without a spiritual awakening of sorts.
Ok, so it becomes very difficult to hear outlandish theories such as 'his girlfriend stabbed him in the heart with a knife twice.' Again, just consider: exactly how often do people die from their girlfriend stabbing them?? and don't tell me 'they were arguing' - PULEEEZ, every couple argues. On the other hand, how many people who are OR WERE drug addicts end up killing themselves?? Yeah his music was great, but in the end he was just another addict who ended up dead, sorry to ruin ur image.
@aaronhedberg Whatever I don't care what you say, my last post was just what I read a long time ago. And I never said that I thought it was murder just that it is suspicous the way he died & everything. You put to much into the whole drug part of it and maybe she did do it knowing people would believe it was suicide with his lyrics like in Georgia Georgia and his drug use. Maybe they argued and she grabbed a knife and threatened him & he said do it I don't care so in the moment she stabbed him.
@MrPitseleh I've seriously never heard of anyone committing suicide by stabbing themselves in the chest before. I'm not the coroner, though, so I won't comment...

@user98xp OE is way worse than KC. IMO OE is too many empty calories and it has a nasty taste for a low alcohol ABV. I hate that shit.

@yokosslowdeathrattle just to be clear, it has not been determined if the death was a suicide. There is ample evidence pointing to homicide.
