One thing is sampling, another thing taking songs like the first ones here and do almost nothing else than putting electro to it. Its still the same song, not even mixed.
why do you think they never gave credit to tavares for High Life, The Imperials for Crescendolls and Eddie Johns for One More Time on the official Discovery track listing? Bangalter denied it several times but it's been proven over and over (on youtube) that they were in fact sampled. I appreciate your input on this.
Daft punk can sample tracks cuz theyre DJs and most of us take bits and proces of tohers to blend them into something new if im not mistaken artists need to stop that though
by your logic new engineers should stop improving the combustion engine and other old concepts, because they weren't originally theirs.
Yeah I'm good with a 1890s era combustion engine. :D because newer engineers just take bits and processes of older engineers ideas to blend them into something new if I'm not mistaken engineers need to stop that though.
Some of these comparisons are totally made up! Who cares anyway? It's not like these samples were used in secret. Daft Punk themselves have been sampled to death! How about that!?
Yup, type Daft Punk One More Time remake in the YouTube searchbar. All of these songs are sampled, especially One More Time. You can tell One More Time is sampled by simply listening to it! I'm not bashing Daft Punk for doing it, because they're musical geniuses. I've done it before and will release a remake of One More Time using these samples ("More Spell on You") by Eddie Johns
The one more time sample is correct. The song they sampled it from is called Spell on you. Their is even a video of a guy named Brian who brakes the samples down
ya they're dj's, who sample their own shit. they play instruments and run them through effects processors and sing into a vocoder for vocal samples. you people are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ridiculou.
okey, so they maybe used/use some 1-5 second samples from other songs, so what? They make them better, and ofcourse, they are not a Artist/Band, they are a DUO of DJ'ing. DJ´s can sample, just understand that. And btw, some samples are wrong, terribly wrong.
I don't think he made this video to say "LOOK HOW FAKE AND GAY DAFT PUNK IS, THEY'RE "STEALIN" FROM OTHER MUSICIANS."
I think he wanted to show us where they got their samples from. For me, this was helpful but i'm still searchin for the beat they use in "forget about the world" (y'know, the remix of this of this song from gabriella or so...)
Ok, The Aerodynamic and one more time. I SEE ABSOLUTLEY NO RESEMBLANCE.
I got a few notes here.
1. Um, why do you care if they edited the music or not, do, or do you not enjoy it anyway? its music dude, get over it.

Oh and the last song if anyone is wondering, although it doesn't sound like One More Time, there is sections of the song which make up the beat of One More Time, if you listen to the whole song you'll hear it.

okay for all who dont realize, thos last ones are a lil diffrent from the first ones. The first ones were a direct rip ov the song. if you pay attention one more time they sampled the horn hit and repeated it and pitch bended it, in aeriodynamic they compressed the base that plays after they say be, and used that for their base line(after slicing it and placeing the sample diffrently after pitch bending it to be a higher octave). and the first of the 3 is obviously the song cut and reversed.
the last three or so werent even the same what so ever yes the first ones were exactly on it like the exact same guitar n stuff but definately the last two were not the same at all
no when theyre saying the otehr band tehyre just playing them together thats why it sound exactly the same but really its only like the guitar line daft punk have used
Aerodynamic and One More Time are not correct. Neither of those songs sampled from anybody. Daft Punk themselves say who they sampled from, and they specifically say they have not sampled anybody on those songs. Look at the credits for Interstella 5555 and they list the songs from Discovery and say who was sampled. Those two did not mention sampling anybody.
