omg I thought I was the only person on earth who'd ever even *heard* of this show. I'm one of the few derivative writers who has an available work in this fandom (you can search zeropoint68 at blogspot(dot)com if you're anywhere near remotely interested in Threshold fanfic - the piece is called "Mercy and Justice").

@LordNifty He was--at about 45 seconds in. Also, unless you're Andrew J Talon (or have had contact with him), how do you know he requested it?
(If there's a note Chuck usually makes saying "Thank you for your support" or something like that, then I don't think it's that big of a deal Chuck omitted it.)
I figured that Talon requested it because the first video said "A Request By Andrew J Talon". I just noticed that the "Thank you for your support" was missing, was tempted to make a smart-aleck response, but decided to simply ask out of idle curiousity.
I must say, I was wary seeing that you were doing a review of Threshold. I was very pleased, though, to see that you gave this a favorable review ^_^ I personally loved this series, and was very sad that it didn't go for longer.
RESULT: All three shows BOMBED and none of them made it to a second season
CONCLUSION: Just because you've set up an interesting premise also means you have to support it with interesting characters and stories to sustain it which none of the above shows managed to do. Not surprising why they tanked......
@jcrebel18 Independence Day is a fun summer movie with lots of action, but I'm not certain a review would be be all that interesting. Of course he could simply run through his IMDB and review every single movie and TV series that fits within his demographic.
Ah, Threshold, I remember this show. I rather enjoyed it, and was sad to see it go. I remember it came out around the same time as Invasion and Surface, which probably didn't help it. But Threshold was definitely my favorite of the 3 shows.
i cried for 10 minutes straight after this review, i am so happy now, thank you for this beautiful gift. now i am going to watch it again and try not to tear up. this is the best day of the year so far!!!!
Ah the other Threshold and by B and B too. Given the name and that this involves another bastardisation of evolution do you think Brannon had an axe to grind about the Voyager episodes reception?
@CommissarRed Braga was one of the writers, but Berman was not involved (he hasn't been involved in anything since Enterprise tragically went under, way back in '05).
@TedShatner10 B and B referred to Brannon Braga, not Brannon and Rick. Though I personally think given that Braga had some good ideas and stories that Rickie had a lasting negative effect on Brannon much like PTSD can often emotionally cripple a victim years after the event.
@CommissarRed I agree with you that Ricky became more of dead hand as the franchise rolled on and Braga got tainted by the stigma, despite starting a more consistantly decent writer back in the glory days of TNG.
Rick Berman was OK to start with as well, but he should of retired from his role as producer around time Jeri Taylor and the late Michael Pillar did. Rick Berman was similar to Doctor Who's Jonathan Nathan Turner.
I enjoyed the bit of poetry.

Why wasn't Andrew J Talon thanked for his support? For all I know, Talon is SFDebris, so I am just asking.

2005 was the year where the networks thought:
"Gee, how can we replicate the success of Lost"?.....
ANSWER: NBC - "Surface" ABC - "Invasion" CBS - "Threshold"
RESULT: All three shows BOMBED and none of them made it to a second season
CONCLUSION: Just because you've set up an interesting premise also means you have to support it with interesting characters and stories to sustain it which none of the above shows managed to do. Not surprising why they tanked......

I am a little surprised- Ramsay taking the underwear, watching pin-ups on his computer - and not a single Tyrion joke?

I really enjoyed this show when it aired, although I didn't realise at the time how hokey it was. I was genuinely sad when it got cancelled...

I remember Threshold - it was part of a trifecta of short lived sci-fi shows - Invasion & Surface being the others.
It had a far better cast than it deserved as it really came off more as a police procedural.
