good vid man, i'm not that great at scientific things but i can hypothetically conclude that the white stains left on your pan where possibly minerals in the water, or remnants of what was left over from when you used your pan last. It would be interesting to use a control, to establish whether this white stain was left by the water or not. But really good job.
