@thewardrums your kit sounds ace dude! is that a snare sample? or do you have one mixed in with your snare sound? it sounds rad as hell. do you compress the snare before sending to reverb? please tell me what signal chain you've got going on it dude, would be really helpful! good job!

@babaroogeorge Thanks man! I looked it up for you, didn't remember it haha. It's NOT a sample, if you listen close you can defenitely hear the tiny imperfections of a real recorded snare. On the top AND bottom snaremic i used the Waves SSL channelstrip plugin which does all the compressing, eq'ing and gating. Then it's going to a bus with a Lexicon Lexplate plugin on it. This is set to a medium plate setting with the reverb- time to about 0.7 sec's. And that's pretty much it! Hope this helped!

@babaroogeorge Oh, i forgot. There's an SSL master-buss compressor on the master to finish it all up. All the mics AND the song are going trough it to blend it all together nicely.

Hey man, quick question. Do you have any advice for live gigs? My bands playing a festival, and its pretty much our debut gig. We've got some good songs lined up and stuff. Do you have any suggestions for drumming live and shit? Anything in general would help. From tips and tricks to what you do when your arm hurts severely during a song hahaha.

@GrungeManStrikes The only thing i can think of is warm-up. Take, like, 15 minutes before the show, to just play some rudiments; doubles, singles, paradiddles. Take a metronome with you, if you have one, and warm-up your muscles.

Wow. You fucking blew me away with this. This doesn't so much sound like a cover but how the drumming should have actually been done. The parts you changed, especially during the chorus and pre-bridge, are so spot on they sound like they should have been there the whole time.
