I believe Rama-Chandra is supposed to represent the 7th avatar or mortal reincarnation of the God Vishnu. The wife, Kamala, is supposed to represent Kamalatmika/Mahalakshmi or the Goddess Lakshmi, a consort of Vishnu. Also, I believe that the daughter, Sati, is supposed to represent the mortal reincarnation of the Goddess Lakshmi. As gods they are consorts to each other, as reincarnated mortals they marry. I believe that this relationship is reflected in the movie script.

As programs controlling, supporting and directing the Matrix and as an extension, humans plugged into the system, they act as unseen and powerful forces much like deities or gods. Appearing as humans in the Subway Station they are, in effect, reincarnating as mortals into Neo's preceived reality. Pretty deep for a movie. Good writing & cinematography!
