  • Fuck me.

That is the most desirable car on the planet. Tastefully customised as well from what i've read.

Sounds nice just on idle / tick over too, unlike other dickheads hammering the engine in neutral.

  • Out of that 112 ever built I own one!

  • @dreamweaverRT Can you tell me about it?

  • it sounds like horses galloping

  • all i hear is the sound of the devil..

  • Nice

  • I would fuck that car.

  • 23 people are scared shitless that their ricers will lose in a race.

  • Brutal sound!!

  • Music to my years!!! Thumb's UP if you guys agree!!

  • i like that ;)

  • damn that car is awesome :)

  • Well since a 1970 Charger is almost impossible to find, how would one be able to get this kind of sound from a 2010 Charger?

  • I'm not expert, but think if you put more of an open muffer this would give you the loud part. Then a bigger cam should give you the lumper sound. I would talk to the dealer you bought it from, I know where I'm from these guys are all noise freeks. Good luck, hope you can do it.

  • @1970hemicharger dont go to the dealer thats a big no no they will give you cheap lame parts that are street legal this exhuast is not legal you can make any car loud by just cutting the cats off the exhuast get glass pack mufflers or any really open muffler and weld them on i run open head on both my supra and gsx

  • @No1snYpeslikme

    Hey No1snYpeslikme,

If you really wanted to get a 2010 Charger to sound like this, you would have to have either the R/T or SRT8 model. I would gp with cams, custom tune at a dynoshop, full exhaust (headers, mid-pipe w/ no cats, catback). That alone should get you pretty close.

If you have a V6 charger, the only way you can get it to sound like this is by dropping a fat V8 under the hood. V6's are well...V6's =)

  • @No1snYpeslikme i think the new charger is a very good car but the oldies are like god!! if you want your new charger to sound like this.. just use the 6.1 hemi and buy and make it carburated... and spens about 10,000$ and then you got it but guess what? the new ones never compare whith the old ones

  • open headers? , i bet your neighbors love the sound of that at 11PM hah

  • At the end of the headers there's a butterfly valves I can close so the neighbors can't hear me when I get close to home.

  • @1970hemicharger how much do thoses valves go for ?

  • @philz02 The valves cost about $250 and I'd say another $100 for the "Y" connection. I installed mine right after the headers so there's no worries about being to close to the engine as far as heat. Buy some, you'll love them.

  • Very nice car and fun as hell , I have a 68 hemi prostreet charger.

  • Sounds Awesome.

  • Depends on what you mean by "One of a kind". They made 112 hemi R/T chargers. 1/2 were 4spds, 1/2 were automatics. If you're referring to the exhaust, there was no vacuum or lever operated exhaust bypass option available.

  • According to Galen Govier there is not another 1970 Hemi Charger optioned like this one. Your numbers are correct. The exhaust cutouts where added 5 years ago and are controlled by electric moters.

  • @1970hemicharger -- If you go right down the option list I'd say chances are good this car is unique, especially when you invoke the gospel according to Govier

  • You running 440 or 426 HEMI?

  • 426 Hemi

  • This is just the music of life and the car of my life...i hope one day i go to US and bring one of this to me!!!!

  • Eargasm :o

  • is that car yours??

  • @millionhera22 Yes.

  • @1970hemicharger i am so jealous xD

  • i love this sound

  • Only a metrosexual, roody-poo candy ass would vote this thumbs down.

I don't care how old you are, what era you favor in muscle cars, the reason why man loves Muscle Cars is exhibited in this one short take.

  • They just dont make them like they used to :( 426ci is the best motor ever made!

  • Street Monster, Beautiful, Rock -n- Roll Baby.

  • great car, i love american classic cars :)

    nice greatings from germany

  • Me too.

  • That car is eating the pavement. Love how it chops.

  • Klaszcze jak Rubik! XD

  • Respect.

  • omg wht a beautiful car.. like no homo man everytime i see this video i wanna cry cuz this is like my dream car. a 1970 dodge charger.. i only dream to have this car and im 16 lol. but been a dream since i was like 5.. nice car man. how did u get the car also?

  • When I was your age these cars sold from $500 to about $5000.

  • I wish that they still cost that much...

  • @1970hemicharger I remember those prices, but the hemi was quite a bit more, even in the mid-1980's. Many 318 Chargers for the 500-1000, with 383 cars in the 1500 to 2500. Where I grew up, the San Fernando Valley in L.A., alot of the Chargers were bought up for the Dukes of Hazzard in the early 80's, and not too many Mopars on the West Coast in general, but the prices were low as compared to today--no Barrett Jackson to skyrocket prices, LOL

  • @woahdan21 Similar story man I'm 16 and it would be a dream to ever own one of these.

  • cant say WOW enough

  • dude awsome

  • Good photo.

  • does it have electronics cutouts on it

  • Yes

  • that sound makes me wanna come more than my mrs screamin

  • orgasm

  • That is how a v8 HAS TO sound!!

  • When i heard this I was like that sound is god like and then I started thinking to myself if god drove a car I think hed drive this one haha just totally aweome car!

  • I think this sound is one of the 8th wonders of the world.

  • BEST CAR EVER :P

just good old american car history :P

  • fuck yes....i don't know what exaust system you used but is sure sounds very nice (excuse my english)

  • This is the kind of music that I like!

  • I'd like to see it in action

  • wish we got muscle cars like that over here.

  • THAT is the sound I hear in my sleep..

  • Luggage rack and a Dana 60...Classic.

  • do i see a luggage rack? haha.....a car like that will go too fast to hold luggage

  • @mustardgas2 believe it or not that was a factory option for the charger in 1970

  • 1970 charger 500 R/T SE 426 hemi orange, leather, optioned out, only 12 made that year I owned one . Motor work ported and cceed,60 over with raxor hone, TRW forged pistons, crane with roller rockers, rat roaster manifold twin 850's, high output oil pump electric fuel pump deep sump, proshifted hemi trans aka every other tooth filed down, dana 488 with 4 link, This car should have kicked major ass, one problem could'nt hook up center of gravity poor weight of hemi too much for rear of car Thanks

  • What?

  • Wow, love those Chragers, the sound is awesome!

  • good god i love my straight 6 turbo but nothing sounds like a burly 8 NICE CAR

  • its a nice car but honestly i like the 68's the best. some people say a charger is a charger but real charger owners know the difference.

  • First car was a 68 charger. Love them.

  • wish i could have a 68 charger for my first car. how old were you when you had it?

  • I bought it about 6 months before I turned 16 and got my drivers. I use to clean it daily and sit in it and listen to the cassette player. You can laugh.

  • i just picked up a 68 charger, carb has been torn off, the interior is destroyed, body has two small dents.....MAN this is going to be fun!!! it looks like it has the 318 double barrel in it...lookin to go bigger. I cant wait!!!

  • Awesome!

  • It don't get any better than that!!!...nice Charger!

  • With this video angle, all you need now is to arrange for gas fumes to shoot out our computer speakers...

And that audio is great , it's like I died and went to the big parts bin... if you don't mind I'm going to record it, and loop it back over and over next to my bed so I can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. (Did you ever play it backwards? There are subliminal messages hidden in there about Al Gore's greenhouse gas drivel.)

  • Wicked idea about the peaceful sleep. I hope my wife is going to like it. If not I guess she could sleep in the car.

  • was that a luggage rack

  • Ya, like the trunk isn't big enough. It's on the build sheet so it will be staying on the car.

  • that makes sense...but it dosnt sound as if your car has much from the original build sheet on it lol. do you jus have like headers and exaust on it or are the mods more extensive?

  • Interior and exterior are original, but engine compartment and engine are modified. It is the orginal block, heads, and intake, but pistons, crank, and cam are changed for more power and lots of chrome under the hood. I have no plans of doing much to the car other than drive it.

  • i was gonna say it sounded as if it had a more aggressive cam in it.....cmon man, theres no need for a luggage rack on that bad boy. youve started on the path of creating an earth twisting beast....continue. if anything should be on the rear of that car it should be a elongated spoiler and a chute for low8's or better. either way, beautiful ride and enjoy it

  • Thanks, take care.

  • sweet..

  • Awesome!!! :O

  • MOARRRRRRRRRRRRRR PLZZZZZ This vid = orgasm in my ears LOL

  • i'm english, but to coin an american phrase,"god damn'"......that sounds good !!!! the sound of muscle.

  • I cant get over how sweeeeeet this engine sounds, I believe hemis do have a unique sound I have a 354 hemi and a 360 ( not much of a cubic inch difference) set up identical you might say, and the hemi's sound is just,,,well "different"

  • love the sound...but then again...love must engine sounds,i have a westfield with a xflow engine 1700,and it screams,,and barks,,a straight six sings a sonorous sound,a big v8 grumbles and sounds nasty..a v12 is pure sex...,subarus sounds cool,but misfirring,and a 911 pure bliss..god i love cars...

  • UUAHHHH NICE !!!! MY DREAMCAR !!!!

  • i have them 2 never close them

  • Only Bad guys drive chargers.

They just look and sund the part.

    Good guys drive mustangs.

    and posers drive ricers.

  • Hi. I don't know everything about cutout exhausts, but don't they work just like normal one, but with electric-controlled butterfly valves down the line to modify their volume?

It sounds good, but I don't see the point. I prefer to let the sound out all the time. But maybe that's because I love chambered exhaust, and am being biased.

Nonetheless, and information is appreciated. It's awesome to see a Hemi-powered Charger. Most Hemis are in 'Cudas and Challengers.

  • do you have cutouts on this?

  • Yes, both have electric motors on them that are controled with a toggle switch inside the car.

  • with a car like this, who needs a radio?

seriously mate i thought at begining of video your flaps were open!!! haha lol but if i had them id leave em open all the time :-) i bet when ricers hear this thing and see it theyre all " fuck this mann, i dont even wanna be on the same street as this guy ill make a left here before i embarass my self with my fartcan.."

  • this sound comes out JUST of HEMI'S? A 360 Magnum can make this sound too? What do i have to modify?? Thanks!!

  • I believe that hemi's do have a sound of there own, but I would go as big as you can. 3 inch exhaust with mufflers that offer the least amount of back pressure. I'm sure the Magnum will sound great.

  • Mmm, Hemi's have a unique sound.

  • POPCORN!!!

  • I could listen to this for days.

  • i want one......

  • Hemi's are the best sounding engines ever

  • I dont beleive they made a more cool rear end than that of the 69 & 70 charger. It just spells muscle car period!

    Thanks for sharing,

    Regards,

    Napoli

  • hold on i have to wipe the drool off of my chin haha

  • Don't do anything, just idle! haha! Sounds great! What kind of exhaust do you have? Love the HEMI!!!

  • Custom made headers into 3" exhaust with electric butterfly valves straight off the headers. Thanks

  • Is that a real R-code 1970 Hemi R/T Charger? Seems like I saw one on the internet that was black with red accent stripes coming off the door scoops and it had a luggage rack + chrome rocker panel moldings from the factory. Does that sound like your car? I see the luggage rack and the rest of the back of the car plus the Dana 60 saying hello with its chrome cover down low. Take care, DC1969

  • one day m8, one day i will have one! its like THE car to own before you die

  • mmmmmmmmm i can smell the racing gas

  • Very nice.

  • One day :[

  • oh god, that thing has got me nursing a semi ! what a machine!

  • Just 1 word...

    LOVE

I love this car, I wish I had one... :'(

    Thanx 4 the vid!

  • that a limited slip differentail? or is it a 2 way.

  • It's a Dana 60 which is a 9.75" sure grip differential with 4.10:1 ratio.

  • damn, im guessing it handles good and doesnt wheelslip much when you gas it?

  • It handles great, which I'm sure is the car not the driver. I can still spin the tires, but I can also get off the line without spinning them. This makes it fun, because you want the best of both world. Thanks for your interest in this car.

  • niiiccceee!

  • sometimes I just sit here listen, to power, the awesomeness, I just turn up the speakers and let it roar. Best sounding hemi ever.

  • Man this is the perfect American muscle sound. That is definitely a sweet ride! Have fun and enjoy it! Congratulations!

  • mopar 4-live!!! My dad has a '70er Hemi Charger too! Love this car!

  • fathermucker.......that car is the bomb.

How much is it in the US?

  • It's to bad how the prices have went up. With any luck the prices will drop off soon. 25 years ago you could buy and sell these for any where from $2000 to $6000. Now there over $100,000.

  • that is one nice ride!

  • ya, in my opinion that trunk rack has got to go, then again if its a number matching Hemi better leave it that way, check out mine, look up 1970 dodge charger slideshow

  • Is that a factory lugage rack on a hemi r/t?

  • Ya, it's even on the build sheet. It was ordered with a lot of options. Check out the web site.

  • ME WANT ME WANT ME WANT!!!

  • Mopar 426 HEMI, absolutely the best sound in the world. Gotta hear it live to believe it...

  • There a 3" Super Turbo from Minute Muffler (part#17792). The exhaust is all 3" with a H pipe.

  • Before we are hearing the cutouts, what kind of mufflers are those? Sweet car!

  • This video could last an hour and i would watch till the end.Nearly peed in my pants!

  • haha, so true, so true :D

  • And I was waiting for something to happen.

  • Check out the site. I'll add a burn out video before the summers over.

  • HEMI!
