I think that Action comic books reissued that Issue #1 comic book some time in the either 1980's or 90's & I bought one& put it in a plastic sleeve & have it saved.? Does anyone else own one of these reprinted issue # 1 comic books also. ? Maybe some day they will be wort 2 million bucks also.?
@ALEX165ALICKI I actually bought a re-print of this issue of Action Comics and still have it. I'm working on getting it appraised real soon. Considering it says 50 cents on the front, was re-printed in the early 90's and there are no more re-prints available, it should be worth something right?
@stlallstar It's pretty much worthless. They printed thousands and thousands of them in the late 80s to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Superman/Action Comics #1. I have one myself, bought it at a comic shop for a dollar.
@detroyes2 Yes this is the same Mark Balelo who was on the show. And hes not really an enemy of Dave, they are actually good friends in the business. Mark sells alot of his merchandise at Dave's auction house. A&E just made Mark look like an enemy to all to hype the show.
He really does not like Darrell though, and according to him neither does Dave.
ive heard of that comic book its the rarest comic book in the world i think only 10 exsist in the world where the comic book is in the best condition phisycly posible! others howevever are worth less
If I had found this comic I would have read it first. After I read it I would hand the comic over to the police. Who can say about himself that he had ever read a 1 Million Dollar comic book? ;)

Cage was paid by his insurance company, and so either the insurance company owns the comic, or Cage returns the payment made by them and keeps his property. Not sure what the legalities are in such a situation.
1:16 So they found this in a storage locker...it would've been great if someone from the TV show "Storage Wars" found it! That would've been great find!
Considering it's worth over 1 MILLION DOLLARS I would say it's more then a "rather silly" crime...
The guy who stole it might as well have stole 1 million outright from the bank for something. It does not matter in what form the million dollars is stolen, the fact is that he stole a million dollar object from a celebrity...
That dude is screwed, trying to say he just didn't know about what he was buying a lot filled with a $1 million dollar comic. If the comic is returned, maybe he might not get any charges pressed on him. Should of just graded it and sold it at auction.
@kvt7280 No one purchasing the contents of a storage locker knows what all of the contents might be. They only have a brief period of time to view what is observable before auction. Unless the guy actually stole the comic, or had it stolen for him, and planted it in the locker as a way of having it returned without consequence to him, then he had no knowledge of its presence in the contents, and is not guilty of anything, and so there would be no charges.
hold on...what IS this "arrow to the knee" stuff??? what does it mean???

@MikeBurin Considering Darrell made Balelo out to be a complete idiot in one episode (over a Nintendo system), I'm not surprised.

It's "divine providence" that he got it back huh? I wonder if he really believes that.
I guess God has nothing better to do than to help millionaires find comic books.

@Andrewh313 Ten years does not divine providence prove.

Well considering there's no way the guy who stole it could ever have sold it he must have taken it just to read it. That is one badass nerd.

I wish Nic can actually get it back...since the insurance paid him when he lost it. Hopefully they can make a compromise .

So Nic's AC#1 is an unrestored copy...nice! I sure hope LAPD will handle this "Holy Grail" very carefully while in their possession!
