i just got the sf4 se joystick and i suck at jumping backwards and forwards. something i never experiecned on a regular xbox controller. is it because im new with fightsticks or does the se joystick just suck
a look at some fantastic arcade sticks accompanied by some of the greatest video game music ever created...this really takes me back to the good ol' days.
so I love the clicking sound, I have 5 arcade sticks, and 4 of him have sanwa parts, I have 2 SE moded with full sanwa, 1 TE, 1 Virtua stick High grade and 1 mayflash moded with the madcatz from the original parts of the SE, but I want to mod this too, but this time with semitsu, maybe with the LS-40 and PS-15
ja lot of people think sanwa JLF is the best choice for a custom stick - WRONG.
If you are clueless about modding ls-32-01 is the best BASE stick for you
JLF is very sensitive but also very loose - you need to modify it by adding ls-33 or ls-55 spring and also extend the actuator with electric tape to make it even less loose.
If you are clueless about modding joysticks and don't want to mod it like shown in "Sanwa JLF Ultimate Mod" - it's not worth to buy a JLF stick at all.
or instead of just modding or buying another joystick you could just adapt to how the joystick works. i used a jlf for a year and a half now and since i been using it for so long i tried my friends hrap se which has a ls-32 and it felt like shit. but thats just because i got used to my stick.
first of all not every stick has a jlf in it (madcatz SE or hori ex2 / fs3)
second of all you could probably adapt with anything but that isn't my point.
my point is tight and sensitive joysticks make qcf, qcf x 2 , f-qcf, b-qcf a lot easier and faster.
you can buy a basic hrap 3 with default hori buttons and still adapt or even adapt to playing basic hori fs3 which doesn't have a single sanwa/seimitsu part.
either or. You can't label any part out there as being the "BEST" because everything is based on opinion otherwise everybody would have the same parts in the same arcade case. right?
"URK! MOEROMOERAAAAA!" "WHAT? WHO ARE YOU?" "WACHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! KITAKITAKITAAAA!" "I'VE GOT AMMO HERE FOR FIVE YEARS!" *BANG* "UUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!" "IS THAT YOUR BEST?" yeah that was gay ... ... "I'M GOING TO SAW THROUGH YOUR BONES!"
As far as I know the JLF has microswitches that can be used if you remove the PCB. However wiring up the 5 pin wiring harness is easy, I'm not sure the EXACT pinout (i'm sure it's on the net) But 4 of the pins go to the signal areas for your Up, Down, Left, and Right respectively and the 5th goes to a common ground wire.
Hey I need some help on the HRAP 3 for swapping the joystick. See, the connectors that seperate the joystick from the PCB board are glued so I can't swap in a new joystick!! Can you help me?
Hello, very good video, sorry but where you get your spare joystick because I'm Mexican and it is very difficult to get these parts are used but, THANK YOU.
Qué raro porque he buscado en mercadolibre y no he encontrado nada pero me gustaría que me mostraras una foto de Sanwa joysticks pera verlo y te ofrezco $300 pesos. Gracias Y saludos.
i just bought a used hori fighting stick ex2 for the 360 from my cousin for like 10 bucks. The joystick is kinda loose and i would like it to be a little bigger b/c i have big hands. I thinking to either put a longer joystick or a teardrop. i have never built a joystick in my life but would like to replace the stick and possibly the buttons but I'll do the buttons later. Is it possible to do this? is it hard? and how much would it cost? thanks
Do they make these joysticks WITHOUT that stupid annoying clicking sound? I've been playing some Third Strike with my friends new Hori stick and that clicking sound just bugs the hell out of me!!!
I know dude he's using the Hori EX2 isnt he? That's the reason I dont want to buy that stick. I'm thinking of getting a HRAP EX, there a little more expensive but they dont have that clicking noise. There should be an easy mod to remove that clicking noise but I'm not really tech savy.
Theres no way to avoid it.. Even Sanwa sticks will have it from what I've seen - Akihabarashop would know more though, maybe the Flash 1 doesn't have it.. To be honest most gamer like that sound - people who grew up with the arcades anyway, but yes, it can be quite grating for people listening to it.
is it hard to move? i bought a new one and compared it with my te stick the new one is hard to move but the te stick is smooth?

i want to see if you can get footage of the sanwa JL-B. It's a levered microswtich joystick. It was like the JLF back in the old days.

of course after heavy mod JLF is better than Seimitsu but without modding - not even close.

why modding the joystick?
I understand the octagon restriction late and the buttons but I don't know why for the joystick.
I'm planning on buying my first joystick that I think I would mod but I still don't know why people will change the joystick.
