Thanks for posting all the Tears for Fears videos ! My sister and I grew up listening to them and the videos took me back as well as made me feel old ! Thanks again and stay free.
The best band, duo, solo... whatever. As somebody said on the tube, whatever Roland Orzabal touches turns into gold, in old time, good times, bad times, "now times"
It sounded more like a song I thought... it'sa very tantalising tidbit... and the words that I can hear I've googled in the hopes of identifying it... but no luck so far...' black and white.. stared him down up from the ground...' something like that!!! :D
At last! It is really wonderful to see Tears for Fears play 'Memories Fade'. They rarely play this song, these days. This was a treat for all those fans in that venue! I am just happy for you all.
I know I am super lucky. I wished I had a magic wand and wave it to transport TFF lovers there. It is a must-have experience. But you know, I thought I would be satisfied to see them for the second time, well Roland (Elemental) for the second time and go on with my life, but no. I want more and more; more eagerly than before.
Oh my gosh, I am in awe of you to my depths!! Did you get snapshots? You got to see Roland and talk to him?? I love their version of this , I wish they'd put it on there next cd. I just could not afford to come to Vegas and my heart is sick ! I want to meet Roland before I die, I love his music and words,, And bless Curt , he's awesome too!! I'd love to talk to you sometime!! you lucky devil!!!
So nervous I messed up my cam; had to resort to blackberry and camcorder. My nose was almost touching the stage so it hard to hide from the security. I still managed to film some, I will post soon. Have one bad quality closeup(took myself stretching my arm out)and another Kim took it for me. Roland looks so serious one could interpret as if he was mad. He wasn't. He was very charming (almost flirty) and funny. Just tired. I'm not sure if I will post it but I can send it to you. Let me know how.
Las Vegas was beyond words. All the concerts were amazing from what I hear but I have to say that Las Vegas got the best Roland ever. He had "sexy" written all over him. His voice had something very special, his facial expressions were enchanting, and his body language hypnotic (he did a lot of the hip thing). Ice please! At one point, he was looking down at us and my new friend Kim standing next to me shouted "I love you Roland" and he mouthed back "I love YOU" with the best face in the world.
It was a historical moment. Then, aaaaahh, the meet and greet backstage at the Whisky Bar was a dream come true. I got to hug that man twice (so he calls me 'insatiable' :D) and exchanged a few words. I also talked to Curt and got a pic. He is the nicest guy ever. I am so glad I got to meet him. My love for Curt got revived after many years being mad at him. He wrote: Peace and Love, Curt on my cd cover. Roland signed two but you guys know Roland, it was that curly thing that he always does.
OMG! I would have died. I wanted to go to the Vegas show so bad. I wonder if I would have"hung back" like I've done all my life or if I would have "rushed the stage" haha Rushed the stage, definitely! Lucky, lucky you!
Ohhhh...you are so lucky butterflyneverlands...i wish i was there too...So it was a fantastic show! Urgh! I still am dreaming of seeing them llive one day! Till that day comes, i will be forever grateful to the posters who have been posting TFF vidz. Curt and Roland are two awesome guys! Have I mentioned already that you are so lucky? Lol!
I will be forever grateful to the universe for placing me right there in front row almost touching the stage, but it came with a price_poor video due to the camcorder hounds, nontheless very lucky. And to have met them was incredible. I can't still get over it. It keeps playing in head over and over again.
Y'know, it's so easy to say, and is often said of these two, that they can teach today's young 'un's a thing or two about How It's Done, but what's really inspiring about this performance is that it stands up against anything *they* were doing with this song in their twenties; their twenty-three-year-old selves could take note.
Thank you for this, and all of your other clips. Wonderful, wonderful stuff.
Best song from The Hurting!

I still relate very well to this song. It sort of reminds me of how fucked up my life is now.

OMG! I'm so Jealous. If they come to anywhere within 500 miles of me I'll be there. Their next tour better be to the East Coast.

Thanks for recording this. I was there that night and I had a bunch of people behind me that wouldn't stop talking. I barely heard this classic....
