instead of a case i used very large heat shrink, like the stuff they use on nicad batteries. Or just electrical tape it. There is a commercial version that has a custom case.
I wouldnt say the best construction, because personally i wouldnt like carrying around an exposed microchip and batteries in my pocket. Needs a case IMO
i live in eu and i didnt place the resistor for eu but i can still shutdown all the tvs here
