Really I dont think this is gonna be passed since everybody is against it that I know but I am gonna give a benefit of a doubt so I joined. but this law is really stupid.
@zimar231 Exactly but we still have to show them we won't put up with this because if it fails they're just going to release it again under a new name. The actions from people everywhere on Wednesday convinced several people who actually do have say on this matter to withdraw their support.
@Koolboyman yeah thats true but I mean I thought the government cant pass laws that would affect people losing there job? I mean all of google computer programmers and scientist etc are pretty much gone if this happens......but lets try the best we can and hopefully this will go and the government wont bring up this idea again.
Can't stand SOPA, PIPA, or anything similar in nature, although stopping this bill will help for awhile they'll just come up with some other similar bill..
I've signed a petition as well hoping it'll at least stop this current one..
@HinoteDoragon14 At the very least, it rapes the fuck out of Burden of Proof. Notice that you have unrealistic sanctions placed on you if you are ACCUSED. You don't even have to do anything illegal. You could have a website that's completely blank, and I could claim copyright violation, and BAM! Omega censored.
it's not really a discussion, it's just that once you buy a game you agree with a contract ( which comes with the game manual, but is thrown into oblivion along with it) which says that you must not alter the game programming/scripting or do any kind of "hack" on it. I am not saying it's bad, I myself once hacked pokémon emerald, but I do acknowledge that it's as ilegal as pirating
@smeagol1414 Well the day I get a cease and desist from Nintendo or anyone who works on the games I hack, I will stop. I don't consider it as pirating but lets just agree to disagree.
well technically rom hacking is already illegal.... it's even on an official nintendo FAQ... they just don't go suing everyone because it's a waste of time
@smeagol1414 I don't want to get into a debate on the already legal issues of ROM hacking, but what I consider it as (as in the act of ROM Hacking and distributing patches, not distributing ROMS) is a grey area (in my opinion only), and SOPA would push it straight into the black.
Worst than this we can't look through the Roms and found beta & Unused junk!

@HinoteDoragon14 (wish Threaded Mode would work today) Some people think it would be. Let's see what the Supreme Court thinks.

Hey, wouldn't SOPA be a violation of the United States Constitution?

@RVittorini Good. Make sure to get other people you know to sign it too if they haven't.
