martial arts videos have the worst comments of all time. If its not someone talking about chuck norris, its some armchair ninja pointing out what they think the person did wrong. Make you own video, shut up or loosen up. either way get over it.
Everyone always has to say that it would be useless in real life... Well would baseball be useful in a fight? would dancing be usefull in a fight? NO! so shut up
@eSKayBeats Sorry but you are wrong, Kata only refers to forms which are Japanese in origin. What this guy is doing, if indeed he knows escrima is what we call "anyo".
@gillyboat then what is the point of doing martial arts if it doesn't function well in a real fight. i dont see the logic in participating in war if you're just going for the uniform, if you catch what im saying.
@chubbydumpling109 martial arts does work well in fights because i have sparred with somebody who does not know martial arts and knocked them completely on there ass using Tae Kwon Do have you ever been in a fight using martial arts do you even practice a martial art?
@alkistler I'm agreeing with you. I practice Okinawan GoJu Ryu, and the point i was trying to make is that the martial arts i practice (from my point of view) has more versatility in a fight and more practical techniques, while forms like Kung Fu or Tae Kwon Do, and too focused on elevated techniques and high targets. Im not belittling what you practice, i'm merely giving my point of view.
@gillyboat its not true for almost all martial arts being a martial artist myself i know because this is freestyle form the purpose of real forms is to teach you the moves and how to apply them against one or multiple targets i realy hate it when people try to argue on a topic that they know nothing about
Pretty, and fast, but he leaves himself open. That stance he starts in is only for practice, he needs to turn about 90 degrees to his right and point raise his left stick above his head, while pointing both sticks at about a 45 degree angle to the ground.
Why is there ALWAYS someone who posts, Thats useless in real life...etc? Do you think anyone is going to use a kata in real life? Do you think that guy is going to be spinning his escrima like that in a real fight?
@MarkosRagnos as KenSmellsMA said, forms are only for learning the concept and fundamentals behind those movements. Sparring is the only thing that comes close to a real fight but even then you would never be able to do in a real fight what you do in a sparring match.
Hmm im wondering what will he be if he is without stick? people don't carry stick around when they go street LMAO.

are all of you stupid? The form is meant to look good, not work well in a fight. That's true for almost all martial arts
gillyboat 3 years ago 3
@gillyboat
are you stupid? Kata means Form...and Kata is self defense moves put together.
