in my opinion starcraft 1 is a superior game because it didn't totally rely on early expo. Whereas in Sc2, everyone has to go early expo. 1 minutes into a game and just getting expos, compared to 4-5 minutes into the game and getting first expos.

@Icix1 well thats kind of true, but when the game did go on, zerg did almost always 12 hatch before pool, like 16 hatch 15 pool nowadays. so we are just more aware now what was good in BW is still good, this is 2005.

@Icix1 there are plenty of master's league level 1 base builds for Terran and Toss. Though not so much for Zerg, early pressure with roaches banes or speedlings allows a zerg to get a late expo. The meta hasn't settled down. Give it some time, they are VERY similar games

@Lubie225 Actually the other guy really isn't an SC expert and doesn't know all that much about BW. WCG didn't have game specific commentators, but a few guys who had a little knowledge of every genre without necessarily being an expert (though I think they were FPS specialists as well), which is why Tasteless jumped in.
