To me the best arcade games were: The Star Wars Trilogy (the one with the control stick where you moved the cross hairs and shoot lasers at everything and ocasionally had to move it in certain ways to combat Boba Fett and Darth Vader), Rampage, Primal Rage and Savage Quest, oh and the Lost World: Jurassic Park first person shooter wasn't that bad either
because of lack of innovation and games that could easily be ported to the home consoles. Once home consoles became more powerful than arcades no one came to them anymore.
Hydro Thunder was easily one of my favorites. It was a simple racing game, on water. A little pricey, at $1 a play, but very fun. It had air blowing in your face, when you landed the handlebar would vibrate, including a couple other features. Still one of my favorites, though.
your voice is so pleasing ill watch almost anything you upload XD and no i never had a arcade near ANYWHERE where i live so i have no idea what games those were but sound like fun peace
Cruisn' The World (made it to n64 but some people dont know about it)
I forgot the exact name it was liek Dark Legacy or something but it was sick, you choose between liek a mage a swordsman all that good stuff it was pretty sick
and MY favorite Hydro Thunder (from what i know it hasnt been on any home console) basically its F-Zero but on water it is so sick
Since I never had an arcade anywhere near I grew up (which is either because I was born too late, or because I live in the middle of nowhere) so like I'd assume, I didn't recognize a single one of your games! Or actually, I've seen a review of Moo Mesa (not Disney, BTW) by GameHeroes and it looked ok!
BTW, your middle game sounded a little like the Bishi Bashi-games, but they came out on the Playstation as well.
ZOMG the grid!!!! me and my cousin loved tht game. my favorite overlooked game (tho it isnt arcade, but its based on an arcade game) is Wu Tang Shaolin Style for the ps1... best fighting game ever. it was insane, the fighting styles and moves and weps, 10x better than any of the mortal kombats at the time. i played tht game like 18 hrs a day with my sister, wish i still had it, i'd buy another ps2 or 1 just to play tht game if i could get my hands on a copy
That's what I'm talking about, three games I've never heard of, in fact the first one sounds a little made up, if it's real I've got to see that. Midway let a fantastic game that could've been a successful franchise slip away... SOMEONE PLEASE GET THE RIGHTS TO THE GRID PLEASE!!!!!!!
the grid sounds like tron as a 3rd person shooter.

Did you remember one minigame from the second arcade you were mentioning?
I think one of them was when you're on a bridge and you're suppose to jump over the holes. If you fall in, you will slow down your team mate.
I think there is another one that the place is on fire and you have to get out as quickly as you can. (and a Tug-of-War mini-game, maybe)

Really? Just one quarter?
Dang I wish I had an arcade machine of Moomesa around somewhere.

Why did arcades die...

They were awesome though...

I once found House of the Dead in the arcade. But there were already 8 quarters in the machine! Me and my friend got so far.

when you first started describing the second game i thought of that toy "Bop-It"
reynolds12307 2 years ago
why did they replace the arcade with a candy store!? WHY!?
Everyone knows this one but my favorite arcade game was soulcalibur. I must have spent 20 bucks in quarters playing that game while on vacation!
