I heard Mr. Toussaint perform this solo last night in Stanford University's Dinkelspiel Auditorium for the opening of the 40th Annual Stanford Jazz Festival. It blew me and the rest of the audience completely away. Much better than this recording, and I think this recording is great. Last night's performance was one of the best I have ever seen in any genre.
