  • I'm an atheist. I hate mystery. I want all the answers. Doesn't make me a theist or Maoist.

  • This theory is complete BS, the universe is not made for us, we adapted to this universe and our planet conditions trough E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

  • @eltuzo466 there is proof of the anthropic principle. lets look at states of matter, gas, liquid, solid. liquid is denser than gas, solid is denser than liquid, now that i have refreshed you on 2nd grade physics, lets get to the point. water is the only reason anything on earth can live, without water, nuclei could have never lived and evolved into single cell creatures which then evolved so on, so forth. but, those nuclei lived in water. when it gets to cold, ice forms...

  • @eltuzo466 when that ice forms, since solids are denser than liquids, the ice should fall, allowing the top layer of water to freeze again, freezing all water on earth. that would kill all the nuclei, but, no observers could be born and the universe wouldn't become finite, it would just drift away from the multiverse. that universe did once exist....once...you should understand what im saying by now, but in case you still think the anthropic principle is BS, then i havent finished my job yet

  • @eltuzo466 the only rationality that you can base what i just said being a lie is to say that ice floats on water, allowing nuclei to be born evolve so on so forth, but why? why would ice float on water? remember basic physics, solids are denser than liquids, therefor, they sink in liquids that are of a molecular structure that is less dense or same. water is the same molecule as ice, so why does ice float? take lava for example, a rock will sink in it, albeit it may take a while, it still sinks

  • @eltuzo466 so now here is where the anthropic principle comes into play, thousands of universes with different properties were made, all of which couldnt support an observer, therefor couldnt be measured, and timed out, fading out of existance, becoming a clean slate of sorts. the universe we are in, was made for us, observers, and any other observers that exist out there. the universe was fine tuned to infinite decimal points in each property it has, until one was created that could support us

  • @eltuzo466 we are the reason the universe exists, we measured it, therefor it has to be real, a lot like quantum physics. sorry for the novel of an explanation, but hopefully, now you understand why it all makes sence

  • The problem with this idea is that you are automatically assuming that life needs very (VERY) specific conditions to thrieve, and that is just not true; even here on earth you can find micro-organisms resistant to "Deadly" temperatures and presures which have not evolved, this is because earth is NOT the best place for them to grow and mutate. I belive that we know too little about the universe to start making such biased assumptions about life, we don't know how many configurations can exist.

  • @weardrake So we should not subestimate life, it may be smarter and more adaptable than you think ;) . We are not the center of the universe, earth is not the completely PERFECT environment for life (if such thing exists) earth is the only place that we know to have life as we have not explored enough (we burn fossils to get from a place to another, how primitive is that??) our civilization is merely 10,000 years old, just 500 years ago we were so sure that Earth was flat, we don't know much yet

  • @eltuzo466 well, i dont exactly believe that the anthropic principle is %100 true, i was just explaining how it is kinda sorta true. the anthropic principle does add tweaks to how the universe works theoretically though, such as hypothesizing possibilities of omnipotence, multiple universes, stimulative reality etc etc. which aren't out of the question, and make more sense with the anthropic principle in mind. the universe is still a massive mystery that we can only hope to crack.

  • Max Tegmark's penis appears in this video. Thumbs up from me.

  • Without purpose, there is no point in existence.

  • @mancerab3 And?

  • @LetJimiT8keOver Thats ok. The more physicists dig, the more they will find out what they don't want to know. It's only a matter of time.

Actually, people who believe in a God don't even need to do any of the work to prove it. Physicists and evolutionists are doing all for them.

  • Everything out of nothing? Trillions of universes?

Bugger Occam, no stretch too far for Hegemony.

  • @TwoMunchuTwo nice comment. it's funny to me when people say i believe in God only because it is 'comforting'...what exactly is supposed to be comforting about it?

being an atheist (as I was for 15 of my 29 years) is in fact the far more comforting belief: no real responsiblity, no real consequences, and if life gets too hard just swallow a bunch of pills and embrace dreamless sleep. people like the idea of definite beginnings and endings: it's the concept of eternal return that's scary.

  • I never needed science to tell me what I believed in. I never needed facts, nor did I need some religious nut job to tell me either. I don't care how to take it, I always felt like there was something more. The Anthropic principle only proves to others that there is something more. I find it hypocritical when physicist say nothing is done with luck, but all calculated. When there's over a 100 different variables that cant be explained.

  • @phil7765 Isn't your thinking equally "wishful" in supposing your comment is significant, meaningful, or accurate?

  • This is just what the world needs to know. That there IS a creator. Thanks for the video.
