  • @peerpressure1999 but ppl who play sports wear protective gear.Timothy didn't even carry his bear spraay 4 sev yrs prior 2 his death. I'm not saying he deserved 2 die but he cld b negligent.

  • V V Good, grazie

  • Trying to find more music like this! any suggestions artist wise??

  • @pacmanjonas How will you! there is only one Don Edwards!

  • Good song, good song

  • The only wild place left in America is Alaska, and it has the smallest human population but the largest land and their government won't allow oil plants. That's today's wild.

  • @acavideo And then America would be gone.

  • and all the colored girls go "doo da doo doo doo da doo doo"

  • "Sitting under the stars of the Milky way and listening how the coyotes howl" would be so cool...

  • I wish 4 people were gone!

  • Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Do you drive a car? Do you use toilet paper? Do you heat your home?

    I'm a "right-winger", and I'm not going anywhere; in fact, I'm propagating.

  • poo yip poo yip poo

poodi hoo di yip poo di yip poo

    poo yip poo yip poo

poodi hoo di yip poo di yip poo

  • @acavideo what do i say here? you are wrong, the point of the song. cowboy is more than a hat and a pair of boots.

  • Hi, something wrong with your post of Don Edwards' Coyote. I see only video but no sound.

Please re-upload or do something. I like this post very much.

  • I had cried for the grizzly man ...

  • handsome man, beautiful voice!

  • this song was on The Grizzly Manthat movie was sad

  • Grizzly man (Y)

Live your dream, die while dreaming. Respect.

  • is this not the original? do u know who wrote it?

  • @animalzarg It is.

  • @animalzarg Richard Thompson

  • @animalzarg Bob McDill wrote it and it sung by Richard Thompson

  • Ok,then

  • Trust me. That man's world will return. It will come back with fury. This nightmare is on its way to the brick wall.

  • And Treadwell is gone...

  • I don't even care much for country, but this is a great song!

  • so beautiful ...

  • This song is the soundtrack to Grizzly Man, the story of Timothy Treadwell ... very beautiful, is a song that makes you think

  • God Bless Don for helpin' us who's just tryin' to "get back"!

If it ain't Rich, it's an awful good likeness!

  • Does anyone know who the guitarist accompanying Don? Is is Rich O'Brien?

    Thanks

  • Amazing, I can't stop listening

  • Trop bon! LOVE IT!

  • Absolutely cool song.....love it !!

  • is this the original artist of the song?

  • @brokket there is other versions by dave stamey ian tyson and gary prescott but idk who wrote first

  • @brokket

Don Edwards is this the original artist of the song

  • Esellori: This song is played as the final song in the Grizzly Man movie you mentioned.

  • Just finished watching it. I have a new favorite movie, and song.

  • People have said they should leave Treadwell alone cause this is what he wanted , I don't think this is really what he wanted ... he seemed like a nice guy but if pple don't learn a lesson from his death and think he was just choosing a different path you are dumb!

  • Mr. Treadwell was a nice guy IMO. A little bit naive when it came to our other animal friends! Yes, they do bite :( As he found out to his cost. I'll always remember him playing with the foxes :)

  • Treadwell loved nature, he knew he was putting himself in harm's way. People die playing sports, but you respect it because they know the risk and they die doing what they love. I think he did a lot of good with his time on earth. He was a bit off, but who of us really wants to be normal? RIP.

  • Im not trying to put down anyone else's idea. For me this song has always been about how our relationship with the world just changes along with time.

I suppose alot of people saw this on the Grizzly Man Program; I don't believe he chose the right way to get back in touch with his coyotes, but, i suppose he had to try; We all do things other people can't understand, the northern parts of this continent are unforgiving.

  • canvas!

  • just saw the documentary about the grizzly man ... what a weird man after all ... but if he wanted it, let him be ... i'm no one who has the right to judge his will ... after all this is a nice song :)

  • canvas kijker?

    :)

  • hahaha mooi he, kwam er toevallig op en ik d8, wat is dat voor gek, moet ik even kijken

  • fucking Grizzly man best song!

goose bumps and shivers all over my animal skin!

  • Hopefully the coyotes will always be around. There have been bounties on them for decades, their habitat constantly shrinks but they always adapt. They're almost the ghosts the of the old days. The trickster archetype of the Native Americans, they still haunt our peripherals.

  • Actually Coyotes and black bears are among the few predatory animals whose range has increased with the European settlement of North America. Humans have driven out the apex predators like Grizzly bear and timber wolves with which the coyotes and black bear had to compete.

  • Yup. Those demned ole coyotes are still here...in Florida. They serenade us late at night...after they slink away from the ole hen house. 'Tween them and the 'coons, and 'possums, Granny's chickens are about all gone.

  • do real cowboys tear up?

    i do

  • i dont usually listen to country, but this is a pretty epic song. there definitely wouldve been a generation that saw the end of the wild west and the beginning of modernization across the country.. it brought alot of good things, but it had to have been a rough transition for many who were used to a way of life.

  • @xcalibur9874 these modern things are not sustainable. the indigenous peoples way of life was one of the last sustainable ways. and yes it was rough they were terrorized murdered and forced to subjugate themselves all for some greedy mans desires.over all NOGOOD

  • Thank goodness the red wolfs weren't gone after all...

  • Don is amazing! We will be interviewing him again on ralphs backporch this month. Not only is he an incredible performer, he is such a nice man!

  • And Tim Treadwell is gonnnnnnne.

  • This song reminds me of Blood Meridian for some reason.....Of course the song doesn't have mass amounts of scalping and death heh.

  • I can see the connection between this song and the essential elements of a lot of McCarthy's fiction. The dissolution of the "old west", it's values, and the modernization of America....and also this song and Cormac's books are awesome!

  • watched grizzly man last night. Mighty powerful. This is a great song.

  • same

  • great song of the film " grizzly man "

  • such a deep song =] i love it i dont usually cry but thinking of the lyrics of the song its very touching butiful song =*]

  • Makes me cry everytime.

  • What a wonderful song. Ashamed to say that Don Edwards is a new one on me. I'm off to Amazon for an impulse purchase. Oooyip-ooo-yipooo - they don't write 'em like that anymore. Keep 'er between the hedges, Don!

  • Great song!!!

  • Brings a couple of tears even into the eyes of the toughest cowboy.

  • You go cowboy!!

  • My step daughter is interviewing Don Edwards for the local paper today! I'm proud!

  • That's very cool. By all accounts Mr. Edwards is a stand up guy. Let us know how it goes. What does he think about this song being associated with Mr. Treadwell?

  • She said the interview went well and he was what you would expect a cowboy poet to be, a really nice guy. I'm not sure if she asked about Treadwell, but I'll find out.

  • @jimmydacat real men like Don Edwards and John Wayne dont come by anymore :(

  • @SpeakingOfWrestling john wayne was a hollywood actor and hated horses wore a three peice suit between movie sets and is nowhere close to old don

  • @borncountry1992 and he was a draft dodger! even Elvis didn't doge the draft. Don Edwards is the real deal,I am mostly into hardcore, the heaviest metal and some of the most whacked out stuff imaginable but this guy is awesome. You can feel every word he sings and that's what counts.

  • @borncountry1992 and he was a draft dodger! even Elvis didn't dodge the draft. Don Edwards is the real deal,I am mostly into hardcore, the heaviest metal and some of the most whacked out stuff imaginable but this guy is awesome. You can feel every word he sings and that's what counts.

  • @borncountry1992 in a singing competition that is. other than that your post didn't make sense from a featural standpoint.

  • @SpeakingOfWrestling all i was saying is john wayne wasent a "real man" badass like don in a general sense of speaking

  • ooooyip oooyip oooo!! Great Song

  • Heard this for the first time the other day while watching an Animal Planet bit on Grizzly Man. Now, I can't stop listening to it. Beautiful. If it suits the tone, I think it'd be an awesome addition to the Jonah Hex flick next year.

  • great song love it.

  • HEHE

  • Words don't need to describe this.

  • I don't even particularly like country music, but this is just a good song.

  • country music is like any other music - theres good and theres bad.

  • I stumbled on this by mistake. I cant stop watching it now, great song great singer.

  • Great song. His voice gives me goosebumps every time.

  • Not real?, dude, are you stupid?, he was a great man!, may he rest in peace

  • A real spiritual song. And sung with depth of true feeling. A fitting tribute to Tim Treadwell's TV documentary. Tim wasn't just plain lucky to have survived the grizzlies for so long. He lived amongst them for 13 summers ( 12yrs ?) That's not luck that's sheer guts and understanding based on his love for them.

Here's to you Timothy Treadwell where ever you are now.

    Geoff ( The UK)

  • Yeah man, i watched the documentary on more 4 - it actually had me gripped and i have so much respect for Treadwell, something very refreshing about his love for the bears.

    This is a tune too

  • Hi xrisp

Yeah I saw it on more 4 as well.

Recorded it and then burned it to a DVD. I can see me watching The Grizzley Man on and off for many years to come.

It was an old and very hungry desperate bear that killed Tim and Amy. He was due to hibernate for the winter. A freak incident. If Tim was here now I don't think he would hold any grudges against it.

    Geoff

  • I think your right but that was a meating ground for all bears old and new and the bear that killed tim and his poor wife was a wonderer that acted on pure instinked and i dont think tim new him.but i dont think thay shuld have killed the bear tim wuld have agred. That is reincarnation in its treu self.

  • You're damn right they shouldn't have killed the bear. What right have humans to do that? We don't have a right to kill everything on the planet.

  • Timothy Treadwell...was psychotic.

  • Yep zofspade! As mad as a box of frogs but were'nt he happy man. R U ?

  • Ha ha no sir, I'm not happy. Everybody needs a purpose and Treadwell found his. Perhaps what may seem like madness to us is real sanity, for isn't life just to be happy and if he's the happiest man mad than he's the sanest man to live!

  • this is very soothing

  • great song

  • i am gunner do what timothy did. So he can live on in someone eles

  • where can i buy this dvd from or sound track

  • need help finding this song so i can put it on lap top and your right thjs is a good song

  • This song is a beautiful ending to the documentary "The Grizzly Man".Timothy Treadwell may have sounded like a "loon",but to me,he was a pure inspiration of how a man can be absolutely free.He died after more than a decade living among such beautiful creatures, but in that time,he experienced way more than most of us.Freedom...I salute him.Rest in Peace, warrior.

  • You can buy it from itunes for the usual 79p yeah great tune.. R.I.P Timothy..

  • Me too! lets make Don Howard's family rich for his talent.

I love country music they have such sweet melodies and good harmonies and most of all great stories, is anyone with me? whooo yip whooo yip whoo whoo..

  • yeh im wiv ya

  • me either i saw it last night n all iv got in my head now is `ooh yip a ooh yip a ooh` ,rip treadwell but u wre a nutter

  • timothy was a proper loonsud :)

but he died doing what he liked, and at least he had the balls to go out and do what he felt ..a crazy person projecting human emotions onto animals is pretty harmless really, and didnt hurt the bears in any way. like that guy said, they probably just thought he was retarded, and enjoyed watching him and pondering his singing and squeeky voice, like he was some kind of weird bear entertainer.

very sad that she died, for being infatuated with timothy and not bears

  • me too

  • me too

  • Me too.

  • Yp me too! Used track-id on my phone, said it was by Richard Thompson though-its hard to find!

  • I was fortunate to see Don Edwards live for a taping of 'Old Country Music' in the early 90's. What a marvelous entertainer of cowboy music. I have 2 CD's and recommend them. Great story teller with music he is.

  • awsome, so sad... at least for an hombre like I am

  • Dagum, this is a good ole Cowboy song. My friend just show it to me. I love it!
