If you cut the base paper half a centimetre smaller than the lid, there is no need to squash the bottom box. This box is really cute and because there is no need for glue or anything but scissors, it's just so simple. Try cutting a square for the lid out of the front of an old Christmas card and the base from the back of the card. Makes a small sturdy gift box and you are recycling at the same time !!!

I know how 2 make an easier box. all u need is a pen, ruler, scissors, tape(double sided works best) and that is all.
