  • do you recommend me getting the re-q?

  • dude most people dont give a fuck what your sayin just do the demo

  • Nice Tahoe. New to you?? No plates. Papers on the window. I have the 08 LTZ suburban with Bose fully loaded with navi. factory subwoofer. Factory they come With a kicker sub built in the console. But the bass reduces after I turn it up almost to max. Hope your project turns out good.

  • do you think 2 would handle around 1500 watts rms? and do you like how they sound? I heard a lot of people bitching about no sounds quality

  • That sounds sick. The Armani Diamond smells good as well. How many miles do you have on your Tahoe? I'm thinking of trading my LR3 in for a Tahoe for its reliability. I hear the Tahoe can run well above 130k miles?

  • @hardincountytigers they are really solid trucks. My suburban has the same 5.3l the tahoe has and has 140k on it right now. My cousins suburban had nearly 300k on it before they sold it and my friends suburban has 283k miles on it. I would get one they are all around solid and pretty easy to put a system in.

  • Haha, i love that cologne in the cup holder! nice video though man!

  • I have one 1600 watt kicker cvr with a 1600 watt boss amp. If I get a second one what kind of amp should I get?

  • @TwoFootedMan well depends, if your sub is dual 4ohm then get another dual 4ohm sub and wire to 1ohm and find an amp that is 1ohm rated. if you have a dual 2ohm sub then get another dual 2ohm sub and wire them to 2ohms and look for an amp that is 2ohm rated. preferabely not boss audio as they do not do rated power, if you want cheap go hifonics, reliable, and they put out rated

  • did the mtx re-q come with the bass adjuster? or did you get that separate

  • @VforRussell108 came seperate, that goes with the audioque 2200d amp i have, tells you if your clipping as well to, it s a sub saver

  • I'll be running 4 alpine type r 12s at .5 ohms soon so how does the aq like .5 ohms?

  • @nextrider123 it'll be fine for you (was for me 2), im sure youll have enough box rise to put you back over a 1ohm load

  • do you have the bose system in that?

  • @skatejcs no, but the mtx-re line output converter works with bose systems

  • hahahaahaha kick ass system but ghetto ass ipod

  • im nowhere close to an expert and maybe its just tha vid but my 12" cvr off a 400 watt amp rattles my more about that much....

  • @LELANDsp602944 rattles what more? you forgot the keyword there. but anyway All cars are different, my new video with my 150+db car window moves less than my buddies 141db car, Im still 9db louder (which is alot louder). Rattle...movement, shake... etc. doesnt mean anything

  • What are the coils on the cvrs ? I never had any kickers so I'm wondering how you got .5 out of them ?

  • @bubba906 there dual 2ohm voice coils. Voice coils wired in parallel, speakers wired in parallel ...... all postives wired together and all negatives wired to together (parallel)

  • @hulbert87 yeah i bought a line output converter but havent installed yet. so will that also block all high frequency sound from getting to my amp?

  • do you think my 2500 watt amp i have now would push some of these or should i go bigger i have no clue

  • @Dmite911 well if its a true "2500" watts rms amp then youll be able to push 4 of these cvr's no problem. What amp do you have

  • @hulbert87 well its just some ssl monoblock 2500 i got from a local audio shop a while back

  • how where your 4 15s what happen to them they blew? cuz im probly gonna get 2 more and put them in a ported box like how you had yours in a suburban, but did yours last a good while or they blew cuz you had to much power into them?

  • @larrythestoner415 yeah they lasted quite a while, just dont give them more then 700rms each if you want them to last a long time

  • how did you get your subs to play only low notes? my factory hu seems to be sending high frequency to them

  • @brrowse do you have a line output converter?

  • @hulbert87 thanks for the specs much appreciated. How do i tune it? Sorry im a lil new at this. And use 3/4 mdf correct?

  • Very nice!! I have a kicker cvr 15 but im going to be getting another one so that i can have 2 of them in my trunk. I only have a 900 watt class d mono going to it. I need to update my power wire only have i think a 4 guage. Those kickers are some nice subs. I get alot of trunk flex and mirror shake just with that one sub in my 00 grand am gt. Wonder what 2 will do. Any advice on type of box size specs single port dual port? Thanks nice video btw

  • @dkhill27 id say nothing under 3.5 cubes each, so your lookingat a 7cibic ft box...ported of course. Port down the middle tuned in the low to mid 30's

  • iPod color yesssss.

  • @VersusModeADR lol yup old school right there

  • well i mean the 4 15 box

  • I Live in the west rogers park/lincolnwood area...how much you selling this box for?

  • @ftheworldhtheliveing woops never mind, this box in this video is long gone, and was turned into a box for 3 12's. i thought this video was of the box i had that was for my 4 15"s

  • @ftheworldhtheliveing if you live in Illinois close to the chicagoland area you can have it. but there is now way i would ship this

  • how stable is this amp at .5 ohm?

  • @18abVFL it does great @ .5ohm stays cool never gets hot just warm, but at that low of impedance it is not very efficient

  • Hey what size Fuse did you put between your Battery to Altornator and is your alt a Highoutput one?

  • @xXFD2Xx from alt to battery place a fuse the size of the amount of amps your wire can pass through it. Like my Knukonceptz 0 gauge can pass 260amps through it, so i placed a 250amp fuse there. But the fise right before the amp is only 200 because you want to make that fuse the size of the amps that your mono amp will draw, so my aq 2200d can draw upto 200amps, so i placed a 200 amp fuse right before it. never use a fuse that is bigger then the amount of current your wire can pass thorugh it

  • @xXFD2Xx and no H/O alt yet. I plan on getttin a mechamna 270 + amp alt very soon though

  • IS THE AMP A MONOBLOCK?THIS SHIT HITS HARD MAN KICKERS ARE THE SHIT

  • @MRFUNKY323 yup its a mono amp. does rated power and is extremely clean power. the 2 cvrs didnt like that much power, so then i did 4 15", ended up blowing one, but hey cant ask for much more when it lasted 3 years. Im doin 2 18" AQ hdc3's off a AQ 3500.1 that does 4300+ rms at 1ohm very soon, cant wait

  • @hulbert87 ISNT THAT AMP GOOD FOR 2 KICKERS CVR 15 CUZ THERE 1000RMS @1 OHM AND THE AMP IS ALSO 1000RMS @ 1OHM

  • @MRFUNKY323 the aq 2200d will do 2200rms at 1ohm and 1300rms at 2ohms. at 2ohms itas perfect for cvr's

  • those kicker vr's are 400rms and 800 max right? that amp seems over kill, my friend had three vr's on a 1200watt amp. but what do i know lol cus im no expert.

  • @ProjectSOR the 10's and 12's are 400rms, 15's are 500rms. granted i was giving them more power then i should they were fine. with box rise the subs wwre seeing now where near 2200rms. They will take it as long as long as your smart with them. Grated they wont be able to take the power long but for a period od time they will. all about knowing your systems limits

  • i put on the belt trim and bezel for that truck i work for gm

  • NICEEEE

  • @DragonWagon6 with box rise/impendence rise the amp doesnt see anything below 1ohm even though i have it wired at .5ohm in this video

  • Holy Shit those Kickers are Hitting!

  • omg i want that!!!! i want to be that guy that has bass!!!! :(

  • hey I currently have 2 kicker on separate chambers and I really like the way they sound, I see you have a box with 2 kicker subs on the same chamber, how is the sound coming out of that box. ?

I ask because I would like to know the main differences between same or separate chambers. Also what is that box volume and port dimens, tune freq thx

  • @sorizaga single slot (shared) is typically louder then individual ports. Less port noise and you can have more internal volume. This box was 6.1 cubic ft at 36hz. Port was ~15.5 high and 5.5 wide....i fprget the depth though. Box is long gone. I have 4 15"s now

  • sweet ok man illl have to look into it im thinking of running a 12ft3 wall in my expo so well see

  • hey man got a solox18 would this amp power that bitch at .5 ohms

  • @veryloud01 o yea for sure! But if you want a more powerful amp, look into crescendo audio. they make an amp that does around 3500rms @ 1ohm for 550. They use the same board as the sundown audio 3000. Very legit company

  • so that amp is stable at .5 ohms? cause im thinking about getting the same amp and runnin a aqhdc312a to it at .5 ohms.

  • @nowherefast93 it'll run .5ohm all day long, just make sure you have a decent electrical. With a 160amp alt, and an extra battery i still dropped but not ever below 13volts. Luckily for you, the hdc3, like all AQ subs have a pretty big impedance curve. So more than likely even though you got a sub and wired it to .5ohm, the amp will never see prolly below a 1ohm load due to impedance curve /rise

  • @hulbert87 i plan on getting a 200 amp irragi alt, and putting a yellow top battery under the hood with the big three upgrade all ran with 1/0 gauge wire. is that good enough to run that anp at .5 ohms?

  • @nowherefast93 yea you should be good. Buddy has similar setup except with a 260amp irragi. droped to maybe 13.5 at idle which is good

  • @hulbert87 aight thanks for the info man!

  • @nowherefast93 also remember you void the warranty right away by wiring it to .5ohms...just a little fyi

  • AQ did not mess up on the bass knob that i know of it is suppose to come like that mine is even like that. i love it it confuses people that try to mess with my system lol.

  • @95violator DJ (owner of AQ) on caraudioclassifieds said this "We got that problem fixed. Some of the first ones were reversed at the factory and a few got by us"

  • @95violator I was never a big fan of the bass knob...i ended up taking it out of the car

  • hey man were you live i want that old box

  • why u got them down to half ohm thats bad man especially for car audio if that amp put out .5 ohm then yea you good to go but if its not .5 ohms i wouldnt do it man but nice suv like the new suburbans

  • @mondo82111 with box rise/ impedance rise i don't really have to worry about the amp seeing .5ohms. It'll actually prolly never see .5ohms. Just because you wire it to a specific ohm configuration doesn't mean the amp sees that all the time. My amp prolly sees a 1-3ohm load all the time. Plus my electrical is fine enough to keep up with the .5ohm

  • god damn. running over twice the recommended power, thats good shit. i put a cvr 12 on a rd 1000.1 at 1 ohm in my girls car. her shits beatin nicely it surprised the shit outta me lol. nice winder flex. 5*s for sure

  • @wackzirth88 yea they don't like it to much, i'm wearin down the suspension on them pretty quick. I'll be runnin 4 though in a 14-16cibic ft box within in a week, so stay tuned

  • @hulbert87 lol i bet. 4 15s will be sick. do u compete? and r u running stock electrical?

  • @wackzirth88 yup i compete whenever theres a show, which there happens to be one this saturday that me and my buddy are goin to. Im not sure if i'll get it metered. When i had this syste in my trailblazer (older vids) off 1300rms i was doin a 143db term-lab on music sealed. Never had them metered on the full 2200rms. So since my tahoe is bigger id say it would be right around the same so no point to keep really until i get my new box built.Got another comp in may so thats when ill get it metered

  • whenever there's a show around me lol

  • @hulbert87 i seen in one of ur older vids u have illinois plates. is that comp this weekend in illinois? jw cuz i live in illinois and never been to a comp.

  • @wackzirth88 yup! it's in summit, illinois.

  • @hulbert87 It's this saturday

  • Great seein a vid from you man! I decided I'm building your box for my 2 fi ssd 15s but 4 cvr 15s on that aq will be loud. I'm thinkin 147ish on music :]

  • @ddrking5555 Yea man, you give those ssd's 3-4 cubic ft a piece and there gonna sound great. I'm really hopin for a 147 that would be nice, but if i can do atleast a 146 on music sealed i will be happy. If i can get steady cash flow this summer i want to get another aq 2200d and strap them or the new AQ 3500.1. Was also looking at the memphis 4kw, but i need to get a bigger alternator before i can do all that. It will more than likely be an iraggi. Buddy just got one, and it's nasty

  • @hulbert87 I hope they slam. Box is 7ft^3 @ 33hz think that was the same as yours but they will be on my sae 1000d for break in then thinkin im gonna get me a aq 2200. I'm soundin like I'm ridin your d lol but I have read on caco that those sdc 15s get hot pretty quick after more than there rated. How do your friends do?

  • @ddrking5555 well my buddy is runnin a hifonics 1610d. Subs rest at 1.1-1.2ohms . Amp prolly does a clean 1400-1500rms. Take in box rise, and the subs are prolly seeing 500- 600rms. We can only get them to smell on the low low notes since his box is tuned at 37hz and they are still breaking in, but the SQ from the sdc 2.5's is unbelievable. The cvr's aren't even in the same league. they hit the lows and they hit the highs, which the cvr's can only hit the lows

  • @hulbert87 True True but I was thinking about just going with the sdc 15s in your box (The box I'm building) but I'm thinking it's gonna be tuned way to low. What do you think?

  • @ddrking5555 well with the sub displacement in my box the tuning is around 34-35hz. which the sdc's will play well in. ssd's and sdc's are both great subs, you should be ok

  • @hulbert87 Alright thanks man I think I'm sold on the Sdcs since there $80 cheaper and will still do good in that box but gl with the cvrs should turn out great!

  • nice, glad you got some window flex now. I bet your happy.

  • NIce!! What 15's are you getting?? I thought you were going with the HDC3's?!? I'm about to start a new build for a guys 15" TC-2000 S4 in his '01 Jeep Cherokee.

  • @Bsktbll895 Thanks man, im just glad i got some beat finally! well i ended up coming across another pair of kicker cvr's for free, same voice coil cinfig. etc....Long story short lol i'll be sticking with the cvr's for a little longer. I think they should slam though in the 16cubic ft box. I will someday upgrade the subs...lol...but the sdc 2.5s caught my eye recently. My buddy has 2 15" off 1600rms and they get nasty loud. thats where i got the kickers from, way louder for sure they are no joke

  • @Bsktbll895 we got a competition on saturday, im bringing my car but im not gonna get it metered. My buddy with the sdc2.5's will be though. His is def louder than mine when i had my system in my trailblazzer and that did a 143db sealed on music, so im hoping we can get my buddy a 145 off `1400-1600rms

  • @hulbert87 Yea those sdc's are pretty beefy and def capable of 145 with the right box. I've never had my 3 10" RE SE's metered but I guarantee it breaks 140 easy above 37hz. You hit 143 on music with 2 cvrs SEALED!?!? I'd have to c it to believe it, but I guess anythings possible! lol

  • @Bsktbll895 yea man , well a 142.8 of an mp3 disk i''l shoot you the link from termpro website with my first score which was a 142.2 to qualify and then when i competed i got the 142.8 which they didnt post. just off 1300rms to

  • @Bsktbll895 so we got my buddy a 145.1db with the sdc2.5's and a hifonics 1610d. Watch for my new vid real soon today of the competetion. One guy on there did a 159.1db sealed
