I move to St. Johns Woods in Aug 2009, I am 6 houses off of 12 Mile road. The best move I have ever made. I can walk to anything you would ever need. I love our Post office, the Quilt shop and Pools of Go Go. Every school is within walking distance. Walking is good for all ages. This video only shows a few blocks of 12 Mile RD. Come and drive North on Coolidge starting at 11 Mile to 12 Mile and turn West down 12 Mile to see all that we have to offer in Berkley,MI
Nice video. Spent 21 yrs in Berkley. Only thing original from that time is the Berkley Theater Marquee. Nothing is the same. I remember the Kresge's store with hardwood floors. Who can forget the Berkley Beer Store? Or the Nelly Davis Drug Store? I didnt see Hartfield Lanes Bowling Alley in this video either. Its still there :)

I love Berkley. My friends and I love it because we can get out and ride our bikes and everything is SO CLOSE. We love catching fireflies. That is my fave little shop in Berkley.
I lived in Berkley for years and LOVED it...nice video. :) Also, Amici's is the bomb. Though that first home shown, @ 2:21...Doesn't really seem indicative of the many charming postwar homes in Berkley, so many of which I fell in love with.
