  • 0:13 that image use to scare me when I was younger.

  • Song and into will always remind me of my childhood.

  • @AMart2300 Totally agree, this song always makes me think of my childhood. Playing outside with my brothers on a Saturday morning before doing our yard work for the week. Good times!!! :-).

  • You got to love the psychedelic bus from 0:17-0:21!!! Awesome show and its a real shame they can't make shows like this anymore.

  • Hummed this in Math. Thats why I got a C in math in period.

  • Overall I do like this TV show but I'll admit by this season the show had gotten stale and appeared to be running out of ideas.

  • People now would rather play Angry Birds on their ipad then take to the streets and protest over the fact that Wall Street and the ruling class bends us over and ass rapes us daily. We're a bunch of lazy fucks nowadays.

  • @Zoidberg312 that's already happening right now. You called it.

  • The best intro. It really captured the essence and soul of the late 60's and early 70's. I wish I was around during that time. My dad really loves this show because he is the same age as Kevin and he remembers a lot of the historical events and gets the cultural references. He reminisces about those times when he watches it. :)

  • That is not fucking Giovanni Ribisi in the school year book.

  • Hey I'm getting some goose bumps from listen this song with a little help with my friends by watch footage events in the 60's and early 70's!!!!!!!

  • I was in 'Nam, ugh, was Green Beret. Fuckin' Charlies in the tree's, man. Crazy Shit '63 was.

  • Who would dislike this??

  • Why did Kevin and Paul have to drift away ???

  • @jaymitra95 Kevin was still immature and didn't need his surrogate parent around!!

  • It is very sad when they showed the Kent State shootings.

  • the best intro

  • this openning tells me that there's something bigger that we just must endure nad admit

  • EPIC....period.

  • Pause the video at 0:35 and it looks like "Kevin's Heart" is written on the picture of Paul (in the lower left hand corner)

  • @OllieAverage LOL!!

  • This version is Joe Cocker @ Woodstock

  • @indayannie Thanks for answering the question I was about to ask! :)

  • @indayannie is it really? Wow i never knew that. Thnx!

  • I loved this version of the theme song. This season is also sad because Kevin and Paul were drifting apart as best friends.

  • everybody was on dope.......it was the 60s

  • Awww....little Giovanni Ribisi, how cute <3

  • very powerful intro ; )

  • john lennon (: <3

  • The most amazing decade in American history

  • Lennon and Yoko! :D

  • I'm seventeen and I'm from Poland, but i really like The Wonder Years. I miss for times when I was younger, so i can't imagine what will be when I'll be 40 or 50...

  • You don't see TV shows like this anymore, sadly....;_;

  • Best Intro ever!!!

  • classic montage. sticks in your brain forever.

  • I miss this show... This was the original Degrassi. xD

  • I love the wonder years!

  • I like how this version shows the historical perspective on the series. Great intro!

  • Too much memories at once.

  • the late 60s and early 70s was probably an exciting time to be alive. people actually gave a damn about changing the world . too bad now we live in an era of selfish idiots.

  • @JudahIscariot Oh give me a break

  • Actually, Judahiscriot is right. I hate my generation. All people do is text and get on Facebook. It's a joke.

I like Facebook and texting but I also enjoy having a life. I would KILL to be a teenager in the 90's or even earlier. Fuck our generation.

  • So you were testing me? So you DO agree my generation is worthless?

  • @Gorillazfreak18 no tool, i was having problems posting

  • What do you mean by "tool"?

  • @Gorillazfreak18 eh it's not going to to change I'm sorry you were born in the wrong era. me luckily i spent my childhood in the 90s. so please stop crying and move forward

  • @Gorillazfreak18 I was a teenager in the 90s. You didn't miss much.

  • @OllieAverage I was in my twenties in the 90s ... you missed a shit load of good times!!!

  • @Gorillazfreak18 LOL. I grew up in the 90s-pre 2000 and it was a great time!!!

  • I remember watching this drama while i was like 5 yrs old. My cousin love this show. I'd check out this video 2day, n i miss my departed cousin ......

  • best intro!!!

  • I love the 3 intros but I do feel like this one did a good job of quickly going through that era with a nice montage leading up to the yearbook picture really signifying the then likely end of the era and the show.

As half and half as the finale of the show was. I thought it was serviceable. It's just too bad they didn't get the time for a proper ending.

  • apparently they didnt know if the network was going 2 renew them for one more season as was the original plan till Kevin graduates high school, but they cut it short i always felt 2 it needed one more season

  • its the 1968 olympics man. look it up the guys are toal legends,

  • what event is 0:15 from?

  • The man in the mask is the member of the Black September. Please consult the word "Munich massacre".

  • Hey thanks! I couldn't remember what it was called.

  • The 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.

  • 1972 olympics in munich. hamas took israeli athletes hostage and then killed them. sad day for the olympics and israel. for the entire world really

  • Bootleg DVD till the corporate a-holes release it offically. Wonderful series. Truly.

  • Holy Shit, that's Giovanni Ribisi next to Fred Savage on his left with his arms crossed, totally forgot he was a guest on The Wonder Years, what a bad ass, just makes the show that much better

  • I said the same thing when I was it. I forgot he joined the show.

Bring it back on national TV!!!

  • These opening credits weren't nearly as good as the original.

  • love you

  • At 0:33 is the guy on the right side of Kevin Giovanni Ribisi

  • Yes, it is him.

  • Giovanni Ribisi was a recurring guest star during the show's final season, portraying Kevin's "new" best friend Jeff Billings (Josh Saviano's Paul Pfeiffer only appeared occasionally in the final season). Lindsay Sloane was also a recurring star during the final seasons.

  • Why did d'Abo leave TWY anyway?

  • Hey this song intro was cool. The best one for sure!!

  • This one was actually my favorite of the three openings. I mean, don't get me wrong all three were wonderful. I miss this show.

  • I wish it would come to DVD.

  • It is out there. I have all 115 episodes on dvd bought it off Internet reasonable price came from Canada love it till the day I die.

  • I didnt know you could get it on DVD? i thought because of the music issues you couldnt get it on DVD

  • Oh ya they are out there and not that expensive just Google it you can buy the whole series not sure if they are bootleg copies or what but who cares mine are all recorded from ABC family but they work for me no commercials just like any other professional DVD has all shows with music.

  • When this opening premiered for the 1992-93 season you knew it would be the last year. Too bad the final episode ended on a sour note, esp. re: Dad's death and Winnie not ending up with Kevin....

  • NO WAY!!!!

wonder years was the best show ever on television hands DOWN.

but this was the biggest mistake of the show..

the first themesong was absolutely perfect.

and idk why they felt the need to change it.

  • Well, for me the final season theme opening with song was my favorite.

  • Short & Sweat

  • One of my favorite TV shows ever, about the greatest era in modern history - late 60's/early 70's.

  • @bagzie This event footages took place in the 60's in early 70's.

  • best intro

  • the most beautiful intro, very touching.

  • The old opening is good, but this version is even better. It gives me the chills.

  • YES!!!

  • :36 - hillary clinton :)

  • What about Hillary Clinton? Is she in that picture?

  • yes!

  • shes not in that picture.

  • Yes, she is. It's her as a young student, head of students for a democratic society.

  • I really prefer this to the older opening.

  • i was pissed off at the end of the last episode when he says he met winnie years later at the airport with his wife and kids

  • It did bother me as well, having seen the ending as a child. I hated that Kevin and Winnie didn't end up together, though, now that I'm much older I can see why it ended the way it did...and I love it! it brings me to tears. A true series about life.

  • yah it would have been waay to "perfect", for lack of a better word, if they had ended up together.

  • i hated this

    i miissed the old one

  • BABY! ~With a little help, from my friends!

  • I thought the intro for season 6 was the best.

  • i dead set cryed on the final episode of this show when they said jack died and the show finished.. i reckon they should of finished the show with a movie or something like that

  • i know what you mean i was like crying so hard when they were mkaing outu and then they couldnt be with other! i felt like sick....like winnie said..."i dont want it to end"

  • Anybody recognize the face next to fred savage; that looks like Giovanni Ribisi.

  • it is!

  • It is Giovanni Ribisi. He came out on a some episodes towards the end of the series.

  • the best of the world

  • I liked this season the best, partly because the intro is better than the others.

  • I too have all of the episodes if anyone needs them.

  • While we're on the subject of the final season, why not post the episode where Winnie helps campaign for McGovern? Needless to say she was quite disappointed with the final outcome of that election though.

  • omg this brings it back watching ti when i was 4 or 5 years old with my mom and dad in the late 80s 88 to 93 the show lasted if you guys need all the episodes msg me on youtube and i will give the link to were you can download them from

  • ??a woman mourning??

??some child writing on a chalk board??

    ??a soldier??

    ??sports event (baseball?) win??

Kevin and his Junior year school portrait.

The ones written with ?? around them are ones I'm unsure about.

    Help please!

  • ??a woman mourning?? - The shootings at Kent State in 1970

??sports event(baseball?)win?? - The 1969 New York Mets.

IMHO, this season's "The Wonder Years" theme is the best theme in television history (and there've been many great ones).

  • Are all of these famous themes/scenes? Could someone help me identify all of the scenes? I'm going to try to list them. Louis Armstrong on the moon. First view of the earth from the moon. ??A political someone? Kennedy?? Vietname war protestors ??A child?? MLK Jr John and Yoko ??A helicopter in vietnam?? Munich Olympic Terrorist attacks ??olympics?? ??hippie bus lol?? ??A president?? ??some child on a carousel?? ??a man throwing a flare??
  • That's NEIL Armstrong; Louis Armstrong was the trumpet guy.

  • The "political someone" is Bobby Kennedy (aka RFK) who was assassinated in 1968 while contending for the Democratic nomination for President.

  • The "Olympics" was the 1968 Summer Games in Mexico City with the Black Power Symbol.

  • The child on the carousel is the beautiful Sherri Bethelmy, star of The Maid (Richmond College).

    Location: Brighton Beach, Brooklyn

  • BEST intro on television !

  • Enjoyed this one more as well. The original was only his family and friends. This one had the signs of the times, and the great final shot of him grown up in the class photo.

  • Giovanni Ribsi lol

  • this was definitely the best intro for this show ever!!!!

  • this was my favorite intro!

  • This brings back so much memories. i loved this show so much. First time i watched it was at 4 years old back in the late 1980s, no lie. i really miss my childhood when good shows like this would come on.

  • This show brings back alot of meryes

  • I love this intro. the most because it represents kevin opening his eyes to the world. He realizes that the times are alot different from when the show started

  • Yeah, I agree with you there. This intro is the best and fits the original song. The tune of the music definitely matches the opening where they showed footage from the 60s and 70s.

  • This was the best intro out of all of them :) -Alan-

  • i think this intro was better

  • Damn this intro Rocks!!

  • God i love intro it Rocks!!
