My parents have had 3 samoyeds before i was born. One was a male and was so sweet to my brother when he was little. These dogs are great with children.
I got a samoyed to.He is 1 year old and he is so funny and cute.I think that it's the most beautiful kind of dog that you can wish.Thumbs up for all samoyed fans!
If anyone knows a sammy they know that they whine like that because they always want to be with people. My samoyed will cry if she is left alone and just wants to spend time with people.
I think that the person who commented on puppy mill-ness hasnt had to have a litter of puppies in their possession :) My family has had 2 litters for a guide dog group.. and man, they like to be messy with anything they can get into.. and it looks like they just ate :) Good luck w/ your breeding.. its hard in this economy

Classic Edition Samoyeds (the breeder here) is not a puppy mill. The breeder, who has been breeding samoyeds for 40 yrs, only has 2 litters a year, and only 5-8 puppies per litter. If you are in south eastern Wisconsin, I would definitely recommend that you yellow page this breeder. She's great.

There are a lot of breeds that are white and every one of them has brown eyes. Blue or any other colored eyes are a rare recessive trait in any dog, and would disqualify it from dog shows. Personally I find a dog with non-brown eyes to be too human looking and disturbing.
Cute! We got a sammy puppy on January 4th from John Studebaker in MI. Love them! We have videos of our Marco Polo on youtube, too. He's now 4.5 months and 30+ pounds!
Samoyed puppies look the same until ~10 weeks. At 10 weeks their ears start straightening up. By 3 months they're ~20lbs, and mine was fully grown to 55lbs by 6 months.
Which one has a good reputation? IV been looking to buy a Samoyed puppy but most of those ads r scam.

Puppy mills make me sad - that's probably where those particular ones are from. The way they are whining is not a happy whining either.

Takes me ~1.5 hours to wash & blow dry my 1.5 yr old samoyed now. Weekly grooming doesn't take so long as long as he's not shedding.
