@suzannesadiiqa You are quite right..A fish should be released slowly , by being held into the water and supported til it swims off of it's own accord...I am surprised they treated this carp in such a careless manner. Especially as they may have done more than one ''take''.The carp could even be alive today, as they are a long-lived species:)

After all these years (24 years to be exact!!!) the children of green knowe is there to watch for all! Thank you so much for this slice of childhood. Haunting, beautiful story. kind of sad how nothing today stands up to it. fair play and thanks once more.
