@NikkiForev Hey, there is a lot of good info in that "Blah, Blah Blah"...LOL but yes, it can be Blah Blah Blah at times drawing and narrating can be tedious at times. Hey thanks for the compliments and watching. Keep on drawing!
does anybody know a book on how to draw guys. believe me im not gay or anything its just that i only find good books on how to draw females step by step. i own quite a few. its just that im having a hard time drawing dudes. no manga?anime books please and no anatomy books. THANK YOU
what an amazing artist i have done art all my life and i love watching peope like this who kindly take there time to explain to others very good pointers. god bless you my friend keep up the great art work..oficialy a fan now..
Ken helps me maintain these videos but I get to post every now and then
Thanks for the kudos. I will be releasing my new Fantasy Art techniques drawing to painting and it is far more step by step and intensive than I could possibly show in a video on you tube.
I have some trouble with the shading, im in the hyper realist state, but i still cant give good depth to my drawings....how do you see the lights and shadows, i try really hard but yet they dont go together
The way I trained my an eye for light and shade and the direction of light and the shadows was to take an object like a small statue and shine a lamp or spotlight on it. Closely study the way the light and shadows move as you move the lamp or spotlight. Try using a subject with lits of crevasses as well as a shiny surface and a dull light absorbing surface to study the reflective light properties.
Drawing lines straight does take a ton of practice and I had plenty when I was a sign painter years ago. I also do custom motorcycles and Hot rods so striping is also a helpful tool to get used to seeing straight lines. It all about training the eye and repetition.
When working with very tight and small details such as in this piece I find better control with an HB (harder Graphite) than a 2b(softer Graphite). The Tortillions can blend out the mid tomes fine. However a 2B can also be used band generate the same effect it just requires a lighter touch.
It's a preference and how much pressure you generally like to apply.
i am a big fan of ur art. but can u make a turtorial where i can see how to draw a chracter...and plz give some tips how i can make diffrent chracters
u wernt putting something under your hand when u draw, do u not find that u smudge ur drawings alot? i have to b carefull with that, even when i've got a peice of paper under my hand
Yes, if your not careful and or make sure you tend to work from top to bottom left to right( if your right handed) you will smudge a little. Generally it's not that much of an issue however because you can erase out the highlights quickly if you do. I tend to put very light pressure on the paper and my table is on an angle to reduce that issue.
good music..Looking for an artist who will work with getting a painting done of my wife and child. Mother as a warrior or angel protecting her child..back ground should be one of turmoil /unrest but the child safe never the less grasping unto warrior/angel thing as they protect her.
Sounds like a very dramatic piece. Check out my website and let me know if you want color as in a painting or B/W, I am thinking a warrior Angel could give you the best of both worlds. click on the link for e-mail on the homepage or anywhere it indicates e-mail.
i luv this advice very simple to understand and very easy to pick up and also i luv this piece of work can it still work by getting small outlines of a drawing and just easily go over it to make it look realistic?
I wish these were in hi def!

immortaliserwow 1 year ago
@immortaliserwow These smudging tools are called Tortillions and they can be un wrappend and then re wrapped tighter and with more of a point.
kenlablanc 1 year ago
@immortaliserwow you can also use sand paper to sharpen them, it works quite well for me.

the depth effect in this is amzingly done, the senitel is cleary in front of the sky
duckdudetom 4 years ago
Thanks, The key is to use a slightly harder graphite like an HB and then a softer and darker graphite such as 2B pencil

i thought HB was lighter than 2B
