Fong's devices are WAY overpriced. In addition, the main product, the lightsphere, wastes more than 50% of the light-all light going behind you is wasted, and 90% of light going sideways is wasted. Only light going forward and up is useful. Lumiquest products, while not 'cheap', are more effective, especially their Quik Bounce, which is quick to use, handy and effective.

Aggg a $100? I've just but up the little white card that built into the flash and tilted it and lower the power setting. It made very soft fill flash and its already built in. The little wide flash diffuser that comes with it can be used at the same time to soften it up a little more. Why do you need to add the color tabs? If you want it warmer then lower your K setting in the camera or do it in Photoshop. Or get a free gel sample and tap that on. Why is everything so over priced now a days?
Ok...Gary over prices his products. They are good products. WAY over priced. Theories behind every 'invention' he has its spot on. But yes...maybe not a $0.50 or $100.00 product. Quality feels great on this diffusers...but $100.00? Come on now...or even $50.00...No...Billy Maze would never pitch this on his shows for that price. :) maybe one easy payment of $19.99 and 3 complicated ones. lol :)
I bought a WhaleTail and have found that, in a very short time, I am taking better flash pix than ever before. The Reporter allows a soft approach or a harder result. I am a photo journalist and the attaching system is just excellent. Well worth the price. Trawl UTube for other videos that explain the Reporter and the Studio very nicely indeed.

I didn't intend to sell the thing. It doesn't really explain it I must admit, and it's a lot of money for a diffuser. It is good though, a bit big, and looks like a toilet, but it doesn't need a bracket and the results are consistent.
