@mafiouso yea take that 2 dollars and multiply it by a lifetime of vacuuming say once a week, that's a lot of money. 100 dollars a year you're saving. Yea and the mobility, you can use it anywhere.
@mafiouso and @vintagehoover here in Idaho, USA, there is one car wash that has great vacuums in particular. The carwash is called Metro Express, it is a fully automated wash, that takes under 5 minutes total. the vacs are free with wash, and they are massively powerful. there are like, 14 tanks all linked up to only 2 motors.
Jack, as for what u said about using them @ home, they would be MUCH too powerful for home use!
hi because we have 2 cats and dogs the floor is very messy and our old handheld is kicking the bucket (battery not holding charge) and we have hard floors and cat beds that need cleaning quite alot! Do you think the dc31 animal will be good because i know dyson are excelent! will the bin need to be emptyed lots?
@ictdude1 I think the Dyson handhelds are the best you can get - they're expensive, but you really do get what you pay for; a high-quality cleaner which works properly, unlike so many others! The bin is very quick and tidy to empty, unlike other designs, where you have to tip out a dust-cup and scrape fluff and dirt off a filter-screen. To be honest, I don't know if there are any other handhelds I'd be willing to recommend.
@vintagehoover i agree, i use the big vax to vacuum our car but may invest in one of these eventualy to do the car and stairs with. you wouldn't think that you be able to do so much in so little time would you? dyson has improved alot since its early days. a bit pricey but i supposed with handheld dyson is by far the best choice.
@ictdude1 thank you! i no what you mean lol with our old dustbuster we have to try to unclip it scrape out all the fluf that is stuck and it always blockes with fluf same with the filter......our dogs chew lots of stuff and rip open bags of food :) after a while the filter blockes and that is a mess unlike dyson simply wash and cleaning the car is imposible it dosent do anythink but block and run out of battery!
What attachments were you using? It looks like you have extras you purchased. I'm interested - I don't want to be a car slob! Great job with the car btw :)
@korling0219 Hi there - Dyson sell a set of additional tools for their hand-held models. The set includes the hose, a mattress nozzle, a stubborn dirt brush, and a small soft dusting brush. They make a great addition to the basic handheld tools, and really increase the versatility of the cleaner.
@welshdumbass It depends how dirty it is - and how dirty it is depends on how often you clean the car! If you use the DC30/31 regularly, to limit the amount of dirt that builds up, you shouldn't have an issue with the battery life.
The crevice tool and combination tool come with the cleaner, the rest are extra-cost. But quite often, you can find retailers, including the Dyson site, which run offers selling them as a set with the tools as a free extra.
Hi jack, im officially a convert. I wud never have touched a Dyson with a barge pole but finally gave in and got a DC31 animal and I love it! Cant wait to try the big ones now
Sounds like a fighter jet getting ready to take off. You have quick skills most people could not match that feat. Did you get that nice ride at a discount? Cause I think the put the steering wheel on the wrong side...LoL 5*
WOW! Jack, that car looks really clean, almost like brand new!! I wish the same could be said for mine.. Did you polish the car as well as vacuuming it?
I must say, those wee Dyson's do look rather good. I may purchase one for those little jobs around the house. It takes me half an hour or more with the Henry to clean out my car. It is a once a year chore though, lol

For some reason I loved watch the Dyson <3 do such a detail job cleaning your grandparents car =)
No more spending $150.00 for my car guy to do the same thing.

I ment you can do it in four mins with a
dc30
thomas52927 2 years ago
Well that must depend on the size of the car and the amount of dirt!
vintagehoover 2 years ago
well I have trid it in the same car. I did it in four mins
thomas52927 2 years ago
you can do it in for mins
thomas52927 2 years ago
Well this was the edited version - I didn't think anyone would stick around to watch the entire process!
It took all of a single charge @ normal power, so it took roughly 10 mins to clean the whole car.
