the asteroid is only 400 meters wide. It will be a regional catastrophe, but it will not be like the Dinosaur one. Also, they have lowered the chances to 1/24000 so it would take alot to make it hit. We're in more danger of killing ourselves through energy waste

Most evidence points to the Mayan calendar having been ended on October 28th of 2011. Feel free to look it up, there is an extensive article written by Carl Calleman on the subject. Furthermore, the ending of the Mayan calendar has nothing to do with an "apocalypse" of any sort, that is a common misconception. The ending of the calendar only symbolizes the calendar shifting into a new era. Bottom line: The 2012 "apocalypse" issue is a load of crap.

It was based on facts so it's completely plausible. He even said in the video, that removing christianity from his theory, it would still be plausible.

Also, in my opinion, the world will not end.. But the human race, most species, etc.., will be gone. The world will live on, but when it comes to population... That's gone. And I believe the government and the congress and every place in the world that has higher command over all citizens, know what is going to happen and have a secret plan of escaping and getting out alive. The only thing that is true about December 21st 2012, is that all planets are going to align.. What happens then? I don't know. But I believe it will cause a gravitation pull knocking Earth off of it's axis and causing a bunch of natural disasters and earthquakes, leading to the end etc....
Also, another thing.. The Mayan Calender ends on December 23rd, 2012. The Mayans even said themselves that it's just the end of their cycle, and their calender represents no act of the world coming to an end.

The effect of the gravitational pull of other planets on earth is minimal even if they are in a line. Also if this were to change anything about the orbital mechanics of our planet, you wouldn't worry about the axial rotation of the planet you would worry about the change in the orbital distance.

@XIOwntxNubIX NASA confirmed that there is no change in the Earths axis, only way this would change is if Earths poles shifting or reversing, there is no signs of this happening so therefore the earth will not end on Dec. 21st 2012 because the process of Earths poles shifting take around 100-1000 years, Plus Others say that Earth will end due to Solar Flares from the sun at this rate were not going to be close enough to the Sun for this to cause a problem to us. No proof of Earth changing speed.

Most evidence points to the Mayan calendar having been ended on October 28th of 2011. Feel free to look it up, there is an extensive article written by Carl Calleman on the subject. Furthermore, the ending of the Mayan calendar has nothing to do with an "apocalypse" of any sort, that is a common misconception. The ending of the calendar only symbolizes the calendar shifting into a new era. Bottom line: The 2012 "apocalypse" issue is a load of crap.

The theory was that a rogue planet called nabero was going to crash into the earth. For it to be close enough to crash into the earth in december We would be able to see it in the sky with our naked eyes. Solar flares is another theory, solar flares only affect us by producing the northern lights. Nabero is non existent. Nabero= planet X
