the only bad thing i can think of is that when you are going to youir next postition in the beginning variation, you get out of character just a bit. I LOVE how straight your knees are and your feet are ALWAYS pointed! Good job, I aspire to someday be close to as good as you! :)
you are an amazing dancer. if you are only 15 and can achieve that much perfection? that is amazing. i have to say, just work on your arm fluidity a little more but other than that, you are like perfection. you are sooo good and don't feel bad about what dumb losers like @balletomain say. she/he is dumb. and i bet they didn't even make it into that studio. false claiming. you are amazing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Wow. That was fantastic. In opposition to what a lot of other people have said, I thought that you were beautifully expressed in your movement. You could perhaps go a bit further with it- your technique is good enough that you can experiment a little more with artistic flair. For a 15-year-old it was great. Much better than I could do. :)
The one correction I have was that you move your torso a lot. In ballet, expression happens in the arms and head, not so much in the torso.
@balletomain you need to listen to what you're saying. From the sounds of it, you technique is lacking so you feel the need to put her down. She has amazing technique and who cares about a dancers body type?! It's about the love and dedication that goes into your dancing, not how thin you can get by starving yourself. So I'm a shorter and muscular dancer, that doesn't mean a thing. I know a dancer who is very strong and a little bigger than you toothpicks and she is a fantastic dancer. You seri
They didnt accept you because you have a bad body, too much muscular bulk and fat deposits. Plus, not very excellent technique. This is obviously a variation over your ability. I got accepted but Im skinny, little muscle tone, lean, TURNED OUT, shorter torso, skinny, and better technically. Dont hold your hands like a mitten hon.
@balletomain Wow! Talk about a sore winner! There is no need to criticize this girl's body when all she was interested in was feedback on her dancing. There isn't much value in anything balletomain has said, he/she sounds incredibly mean-hearted and disrespectful. Allthatjazz, you are a graceful, powerful and talented dancer; keep doing what you love and you'll keep improving - you are still very young! Only listen to the people who have your interests at heart and forget about the others!
uh...your profile says that you're 25, and looking at your profile, you've been dissing every ballet audition video that you've come across. Get a life you miserable thing.
@balletomain This comment is pointless. She can't change how her body looks. Yay for you for getting accepted for being skinny? Her dancing is fantastic and takes a lot of work to get as far as she has. Be encouraging to your fellow dancers. We are all a family. So chill. Maybe consider giving her some helpful feedback on how to improve instead of just putting her down.
@balletomain Fat, and bad technique? Did you even watch the video,or did you just look in the mirror. And the variation was well within her ability. Thirdly she is skinny, just very muscular, its called being healthy " hon". Actually if you're so freaking good, why don't you post a video...or are you just a talentless jealous little coward? I'd like to see you dance as well as she did.
I'm sorry they didn't accept you, you are very talented! Your technique is outstanding! I would have to agree with "peacelovecali" in that adding a little more fluidity or grace would give it that extra spark. In my eyes you have nailed just about everything technique wise, I bet Miami is just looking for something particular artistry wise. Keep going on with your dream though, I'm sure there are hundreds of ballet companies all over the US and the world looking for you! Great job!
Gorgeous turns and extension. My only tip would be to focus on the expression of your line at the end of each move. I see you "throwing away" the brief moment when you finish a step in order to stay on time for the next. But if you could give those finishes more fruition of your emotion, I think you'd be an even lovelier dancer.
how could anyone be harsh about this video? you are perfection, and more than that, you look like you LOVE dancing......did you make it into the company?
i have one correction-when you uh..(sorry i cant remember the word for it) put your leg up to the side make sure its really to the side- oh and did you get in?
i have a question. ive been dancing for 4 years and i still cant do adagio -i have the flexibility but i cant make it stay up there can you PLEASE help?!(or if anyone else can help).
woah you look so strong and balanced! did you get accepted? i would be such a pity if you didnt. youre turns are awesome. anyone would kill for your techniques! :)
Awesome! I wish I had your technique. Only critique is that you look kinda bored. Make every move explosive, bigger and look like you are proud of it. :)
@bRuNn3tt3 you said that it looks like im just sailing around...if you mentally think about yourself sailing around before you go into the turn, it will be easier, and while youre up, keep on thinking of just spinning. if its a single, don't spot your head, just go for the ride :)
that was really good. i've heard that professional ballerinas take their pointe shoes and bang them on concrete to make them less noisy. something to try. but you have great technique and strong legs so keep up the good work.

Wow!! You are a strong, comprehensive dancer. I guess if I had to suggest anything, it would be to add fluidity and grace to your movement. (A stylistic preference -- though your style is still wonderful)
oh okay! i still thing if those corrections were applied you'd be that much greater. Congrats though. and if you see him again, tell him Suzanne Pomerantzeff says hello :-)

I know why the didn't except you. in my opinion you are very very talented, your technique is fine. but what main companies look for and always have looked for is 'performance', especially Eddie V. who is the director of the company; he is a stickler on performance and commanding attention. even his students are at a professional level. so i say work on making everything (your movement) alot more fluent and and readable as well as taking the time to care for each step instead of throwing it away
