  • Here is a YouTube video titled "How to Grease your ladder so when you're making a video for YouTube, viewers don't have to listen to a fingers-on-chalkboard squeaking sound".

    Otherwise, nice video!

  • hi, i'm really keen to see how the rest of the ceiling is done so i was going to ask where the next video is but i just noticed the date on this video.....and i'm guessing this is currently in progress. i look forward to seeing the rest...thanks, stu

  • @mailtostu

    Hi Stu,

I'll try and get the ceiling video sorted in the next couple of days ;-)

  • @ultimatehandyman - great thanks!

  • Why dont you use your laser level ?

  • @WayneBurgess1

I can not get the laser level that close to the ceiling as the battens were only 20mm thick

  • @WayneBurgess1

I just got a PM from one of the guys in the forum telling me how to use the laser level to fix battens so close. He said to set the laser up about 100mm below the ceiling and then use a tape measure or similar to get the correct height. I wish I had thought of that in the first place. At least I know for next time ;-)

  • @ultimatehandyman They are a great bit of kit so many uses.

In either plumb or level mode just remember to measure to the middle of the laser line as this line gets thicker the longer the distance. :)

  • @WayneBurgess1

    Thanks, I'll remember that ;-)
