Evocative piano interlude, which illustrates very well the painful yet peaceful beauty that comes with accepting one's fate (& impending demise). I especially like the piece, when it is being played during the movie's "imagination" & iceberg (collapsing & flying up in reverse) sequences.
hey does anyone know any information on the score for Conviction by paul cantelon?? was that music released? or...where can i listen to it?? there is only one song on youtube from that movie
this movie reminds me of 1 Litre of Tears..(it's about a teenager who came to carry a disease that slowly unabled her from walking, talking, eating, and writing..it's a drama that'll literally make u cry 1 litre of tears..well, i think i cried more than a litre)
both about real ppl who were diagnosed with illness that paralyzed them..n how they looked upon positive aspect of life rather than giving up..
it's just so inspiring how they went on, knowing they can never be 'normal' again..
you are so lucky! its too "graffic" for my schools class...stupid principles...but i so got to watch this for my schools book club and it was SUCH an AWESOME movie! i wish someone would compose this so i could learn it on the piano! GO FRENCH 3 STUDENTS!
you push the Alt-button and then push a pattern of three numbers like â that was alt 131, or alt 132 äi can possibly send you a sheet i have on them!!
it is truly terrible that it is not available...SOMEONE SHOULD TOTALLY MAKE THE SHEET MUSIC TO IT!!! and yes it is totally possible...i just don't have the equipment... :<
This music strikes you at your deepest core of humanity. You can't help but to think of an event in your life and have it relating to this song in someway. So sad... yet so lovely.
Does anyone know of any other songs like this that have the same beautiful feel to them? If so I would really like suggestions. One I always loose myself in is Carnival of the Animals: VII. Aquarium. Its an incredible piece of music.
I would suggest firstly, Yann Tiersen. he has many pieces that are beautiful and not just his compositions for Amelie. Also, you can try Jon Brion and many classical pieces by Chopin or Debussy :)
The soundtrack to the film Gattaca, by Michael Nyman - in particular the track called "The departure" (I believe that's its name) uses very similar chord progressions to the opening of this particular piece.
@freerider957 -- How about Abel Korzeniowski's 'Becoming George' in 'A Single Man' OST? This piano instrumental is similarly peaceful in an accepting sort of way. (The complete music & movie scene are both available at YouTube.)
In the movie, the music is played when George (who plans to die by the end of the day) goes through the motions of getting ready for work in the morning ... "Looking in the mirror staring back at me isn't so much a face as the expression of a predicament."
I'm really sorry but after an extensive search myself, I don't think it even exists, unfortunately. I still looking for it though, perhaps if I do find it you'll be the first i'll inform :)
In the meantime we've just got to figure it out by ear i guess. lol
can you tell me next? i really want it because i just learned the first part right hand by ear and the rest i can't do cause i'm 11. plz plz plz plz!?!?!?

Es un largometraje formidable; está muy bien hecho y primorosamente complementado con su banda sonora.
El paso de estas notas por mi cabeza trae a mi ser un mar inefable de sensaciones que en la película casi me roban lagrimas
