I have 8g screw on tunnels. If I tape them I won't be able to screw on the back, will they fall out?

@NICHOLASooo Well, if you get the tape thin enough the flare should screw on, but if you tape snug enough your lobes should be tight enough to keep the plug on. Honestly if you are at 8g just use tapers a little while longer. Its hard to tape the smaller plugs. Just IMO.

Yeah, I started taping my plugs as well, I've been buying tapers for every size untill 5/8" and now I got sick of buying seperate tapers for a one-time use, and using tape works great!

@UrTubeSuksJerk Yeah I've done that before. I took heavy wire cutter and cut off the long end of the taper so that all that was left was the large end in my size and used that to tape. it worked fine

@miny345 Its all personal preference. If you do not feel that you will be comfortable with 1/2 lobes dont do it, simple as that.

I find certain brands of electric tape are better than others cause some leave a nasty residue type substance and make ur ear black but i use Teflon but it drys your ears up to so V oil ftw.

eye just got my lip up to a 0g with a gorrilla glass cobalt blue piece,just used the taper method but prolly gonna start usin tape,ya eye used elctrical tape on my ears 2 get 2 an inch and had no problems just gotta be carefull eye guess-fuck it its cheaper than bondage or plumbers-u can get 4 rolls 4 a dollar at the dollar store hahaha

You should be able to tape up from 8mm to 11mm in your septum. Good luck.
