This is the Superlistic Edit, not the full mix. I own the 12" for this, and I never liked the original. The original uses "Synthetic Substitution" while the remix uses "Impeach the President" and "Reach out of the Darkness". I had the cassette single back in 1991 but someone stole it, so I bought the 12" a few years later. I may have liked the original if I heard that version first, but the full remix is so much better.
I have been trying to download this song for months. Can't find any torrents of this song. Anyone know where I can find this exact version of this track? I need this song for my old school collection
I mean i do think rap needs to go back to its core..not just drugs,money,etc.....but the rapping in this isnt that good..that guy with the voice from house party...really?..lol
I'd love to see more brothers rock the afro these days. Unlike the shaved head thing (which is getting OLD), the afro is one thing white folk just can't steal.
Actually it not the full mix, it's the edit. The full mix says at the beginning, "are you ready to go, let's break this muthafucker up". The next part says "here's a story told to the children of Africa." The edits come after the first verse as well, there should be some extra beats and cuts between them. It's a good remix even though I like the original.
Maaaaaan....We use to crack up at this!! I'm glad I grew up in this era of music. Not only is it a time capsul, you have the same respect for it years later.
@Illtone9 I know what you mean...I remember this when I was in junior high or middle school...we used to crack up at this video. I was coming up in the late 80's and 90's.
Dam I remember when these guys performed this song on In Living Color. Gotta love the filming in Vegas too..... Glitter Gulch home of the skankiest strippers in Vegas.
The first album I ever brought ( on Jamaica Ave, Queens, NY)!

Wow!!! Back when rappers were spitting positive lyrics. Not all that booty shaking nonsense the industry is producing now a days.

If William Hung can get a goddam deal, then what is the problem with these guys? It was more of a novelty thing anyways, from what I remember.
