its able to run because of the gas that was already in the carburator from riding it before

there was already a small amount of gas in the carburetor from riding before, he just ran out as he hit the jump, so when hes in the air nose diving he cant hit the throttle to level it out.

On four strokes dirt bikes (which he was riding) when you let off the gas like he did the rear wheel will slow down fast causing the bike to endo in the air. Getting ack on the gas would have stopped the rotation. Hope this answered your question.
