If you're going to make a video about Buenos Aires you gotta learn how to say it right. It would make a porteño cringe every time you say that in an english accent.
@notoriousalex22 It makes me cringe when Americans say Edinburgh or when French people say "Londres" instead of London. But we get over it because they are from different countries and pronounce things differently. I certainly wouldn't go to Mexico City and call it Ciudad Mexico (Thew-dad - Meth-y-co), even though the locals would all say it. I'd say Mexico City, cos it's my language to say that.

FYI, for those who are judging this guy's Spanish, each language has its own phonetic rules. Therefore, "cortazar" won't be pronounced like it is in Spanish. It's like pronouncing "tequila" in English with a Spanish-speaking accent. Moreover, the video is in English so I see little need to adhere to Spanish rules of stress.
And as for the so-called racoon, don't shave it off boy. That's a bonafide muff brush that'll keep any woman happy.
@loombaron How does asking about others' culture ignorant? While there are people so excited to share about their culture, there are some retards up here getting cocky when people from another part of the world ask about Argentina. You should check your brain.

i mean not with all, but there is always people not jsut here, in the world who likes to discriminate, as in EEUU there is people like that too, but as i told you that happend in all the countries, if you have bad luck you'll find bad persons but generalize is bad
@gigisandiego96 Argentina is the as racist as EEUU with people from north, example,
you can fin racism in argentina with latinamerican imnigration because almost all of them come to steal or sell drugs, as EEUU is racist with mexican people

@gigisandiego96 dude, every where is full of hatefull racists...I believe that in other countries in latin america its overlooked since the hatefull racist may not look white...your generalization and blanket statement makes u look foolish at best. As for Argentinians being racist? lol the name "CHE" always comes to mind, that guy sure was a racist hahah...reminds me of that other racist fuk MLK!!

WHO WANT'S THE FUCKLANDS? ALSO ARGENTINA IS BIGGER THAN ANY EUROPE COUNTRY LIKE U.S..... WE GOT THE SUN... WHAT YOU GOT? THE DRAGONS ARE THE FLAG OF LONDON.... AND YOU KNOW THIS...
Yay Argentina! I was born there I live in england now, have been for 7 years now but i really wanna go back just for a holiday someday :) also in spanish we pronounce the Y's and the ll's as 'Sh' any other questions I'll be happy to answer also I'm glad you enjoyed it there! :D
This is great... a good quick trip to argentina, I spent a year there on a foreign exchange last year. The language is Castellano, spanish where the LL and Y sound like "sh"... haha I bet you're like, wow that's a lot of help now.
Hey!!! I too was born and grew up in NY, but I come to Buenos Aires every summer (U.S. Summer, Bs As. Winter) to stay with my parents' family precisely in Palermo, I find it soooooo cool that you stayed here!!!! Hope you liked it :)
well, im an argentinian (porteño), if you want come back, tell my and i wanna show you the hide part of the city... i dont mean danger zones, i say beautiful places , and i want to show you the argentinian manners, "Tango, Mate, Asado" and others, thanks for come n i hope you liked this nice city.
You can get pesos anywhere in BA, even use your debit card at any bank ATM machines down there. You can pay with cards in stores, too, but many stores do a credit card surcharge.
funny, just a yankie can pay 75(wow) pesos to travel around Palermo "Soho", and just a yankie can say "chau chau" to say "goodbye" because it is used in here just from young girls.
there are pockets of german population in cordoba in the north and bariloche and villa gesel in the south to name a few... quilmes beer in argentina was founded by a german immigrant....hope that heps
@tehrani101 You can find everywhere people with German roods. At the end of my first trip to BA I met a family with my very German familyname. And not only that, one girl in the family had also my two little names (in feminine form). We might bee relatives and I could help them to find their next familymembers in Germany and something about their history. YOu see, thre are not only Germans too, but many surprises waiting for you. I love Buenos Aires and Argentina.
Nice video!, I think it's really interesting :) I'm a 17 years old girl from Argentina-Buenos Aires and I rly like the video and what you did. You visited nice places here... and I hope you had had a wonderful time :) Take care, and and come here wherever u want!
@varoujanx666 yes there is an Armenian decended population, though not in Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is almost entirely comprised of Spanish Italians.
It's a good video! My Dad is an Argentinian too. Or however you spell. I've never been in Argentina but I always wanted. So thank you for my first look. I will travel there too. DEFINETELY!
acctually he is right as well it goes by both names. Many streets and plaza have gone through name changes. depending on what map you use and the time frame. It will be listed as both. As of late, they have even trying creating a Palermo Queens which locals really don't recognize.
Aww...Palermo Soho....I rented an apt there in August 09. It was cold...!!! I live in Miami, Florida...so you can imagine how cold I was....I can honestly say that I fell in love with Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Great video simple and very intersting. i was there about a year ago and while i was watching your video i remebered all the good times i had there. I was wondering while you where in BA did you ever go to this restaurant called "el palacio de la pizza"? the best pizza i ever had. so as de river el tigre they had this restaurant called el gato blanco.. BA has great food i think BA cattle is one of the best in the world so as the wine

This is great... a good quick trip to argentina, I spent a year there on a foreign exchange last year. The language is Castellano, spanish where the LL and Y sound like "sh"... haha I bet you're like, wow that's a lot of help now.
pjohnson20 1 year ago
@pjohnson20
jaja the Y sounds like SH just in B.A and in other provinces, for example, I'm from Mendoza and we pronunce it like in english Y is Y xD

AndyVR10 1 year ago
BsAs8Ros8Coa 1 year ago
AndyVR10 1 year ago

You can get pesos anywhere in BA, even use your debit card at any bank ATM machines down there. You can pay with cards in stores, too, but many stores do a credit card surcharge.

funny, just a yankie can pay 75(wow) pesos to travel around Palermo "Soho", and just a yankie can say "chau chau" to say "goodbye" because it is used in here just from young girls.

gustavo520 1 year ago 2
@tehrani101 You can find everywhere people with German roods. At the end of my first trip to BA I met a family with my very German familyname. And not only that, one girl in the family had also my two little names (in feminine form). We might bee relatives and I could help them to find their next familymembers in Germany and something about their history. YOu see, thre are not only Germans too, but many surprises waiting for you. I love Buenos Aires and Argentina.
Miguel53de 1 year ago 5
@tehrani101
There is, but not so much. If you want to find german people at Argentina you have to go to "La Cumbrecita" or to "Villa General Belgrano"

@varoujanx666 yes there is an Armenian decended population, though not in Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is almost entirely comprised of Spanish Italians.

the plaza you went to in minute 3, is called plaza serrano, not matanaza or whatever you called it
Dethman5 2 years ago
@Dethman5
acctually he is right as well it goes by both names. Many streets and plaza have gone through name changes. depending on what map you use and the time frame. It will be listed as both. As of late, they have even trying creating a Palermo Queens which locals really don't recognize.

In Portuguese its Tchau....
etc... it exists in most romance languages.
tommasokey 2 years ago
Is not "chau" is "chao"
VarimathrasHighlord 2 years ago
@VarimathrasHighlord Its both, in formal Spanish books to teach foreign students, they use "Chau" but both words sound exactly the same.
