I've just replaced such carburettor with a 15 mm from the bavarian manufacturer BING. I was getting real tired of start problems and problems when driving. It works fine and gave me better performance on hills. It even makes the engine rev way beyond the limiter when the scooter is on the stand :)
what jet you got for that free flow air filter. also with your exhaust did you get the restrictions out there is 2 or 3 in these bik. coz i took my exhuast off and got 45 mph up hill and normally only get 30mph so me and my m8 took my whole exhaust apart and found 2 resrtictions. Also the little tube inside the exhaust i took out so its louder.

@strikeback7 Well if you dont like 4stroke you can just buy a 2stroke engine.The difrences are that the 2 stroke consumes more fuel makes a farty sound , leaves a lot of smoke and you also have to change a lot of parts beacouse this type of engine wears out faster than the 4 stroke.
A "power filter"? What the hell is that? Has a company conned you with a shiny air filter and used words like "power" "sport" etc? Filters CLEAN AIR, they do not restrict airflow. Companies have given up on boy racers with cars as they are not easily fooled, so they go for young motorbike riders now knowing they will pay anything for power. What you have done is decreased performance. I suggest you LEARN about engines and filtration, also gasflow and exhaust systems. Stop being conned!
That scooter kinda sounds like shit, plus look at how much free play you have on your throttle cable, Only about the last 3/4ths of a turn are actually tensioning the cable.
A few weeks ago I tryed to remove my 50 cc scooter carb from my scooter to clean it. But since I couldnt get the carb all the way out I decided to just put everything like it was and leave it alone. Now the engines running at a really high rpm. The back wheel is spinning even when my hand isnt on the throttle. If i took the scooter off the center stand it would ride off by itself. Please help me someone

so if you got a powerfilter your scooter is "tuned"?! it doesnt even give you more power, just an other sound. like building a other exhaust on a 50cc 4 stroke. that won't help with a 50cc you need at least 75cc to get more power out of your engine. if people call this tuning almost everybody is a tuner. Yeah, I did a main crank bearing from revving mine until it was past the 10000 RPM mark and hanging around in space, and it was stock, it overrevved because the transmission was not delimited but engine was.... Until I found out you can put a (wider) Honda Today 50 belt in it and achieve 80Km/H with stock delimited engine :D
4 strokes have more useable capacity than 2 strokes, considering that the overall displacement rating of the 2 stroke includes the lower part of the cylinder where the holes are, so effectively a 50cc 2 stroke is only using something like around 25-30cc's of its cylinder. 4strokes utilises all of its displacement as for why 4 strokes have more torque. 2 strokes have more BHP because they are naturally supercharged further assisted by the suck and pushback of the resonator chamber.
Yeah I used to use a 2 stroke Hot 50 to do Pizza deliveries until it wore out, now bought a QMB139 based scoot, same engine as video except mine is still stock, and I find that after doing a decent run-in, the overall top speed is the same as my old scoot. 2 strokes are fun and zippy, but only fun and zippy, on the othr hand 4 strokes r those kind of engines that you can either have a nice relaxing cruise along the beach esplanade, or open the throttle and GO FOR IT!!!! Im over throttle pumping!
You can get an 80cc kit which will give you 50-55mph and a huge increase in acceleration. If you type in qmb139 80cc you should find lots of them. You should be able to smoke your m8s Aprilia etc. As long as they haven't tuned theirs'.
Did you miss "as long as they haven't tuned theirs"? an 80 tuned 4T will smoke a 50 still restricted 2T. Now if the 2T is derestricted then it will smoke even an 80cc tuned 4T & if it is tuned it will smoke a 150 A derestricted but not tuned Italian 2T will do about 50-55mph. Tuned it will do 60-80mph depending on how much tuning you did. A 150
4T will do about 55-60. So the 4 stroke 80 beats the 4 stroke if the 2T 50 is not tuned and about the same when the 2 t is just derestricted.
it does 52mph (just over 80kph) and it can't even get close to my 150cc Chinky, which does 80mph with a little tuning (no big bore or anything.) A tuned, QMB139 with 80cc will smoke that Aprilia I just derestricted. Remember I didn't tune it I just derestricted it.
You will never get a true 80mph from a 150 chinky my friend, if you're looking at the stock speedo maybe (they always WAY overead) Even MRPs 200cc GY6 project scoot with ALL the tuning bits on just about topped 80mph, and that was only just!
I used my Garmin GPS to determine the top speed my friend. I tune scooters for a living. I have got over 80mph out of street legal aprilia SR50, over 100mph out of an aprilia RS50, 73mph out of a Zuma, 55mph out of a Shanghai Shenke qmb139 and a over 80 out of a SUNL 150cc. I do simple derestriction that range from 45mph to about 55mph and tuning using big bore kits etc. The bikes mentioned are just examples of what I have done. I have a couple of videos posted, including an 80mph Puch moped.

The biggest problem of these chinese scooters is the belt the original one is low quality and it slips when it heats so I bought a kevlar one and that increased the max speed. You know this is a 4 stroke engine you dont increase the max speed by a cilinder you just add power in 2 strokes you increase the speed because of the increase of RPM
Most of the time the 50cc ones can not get near their max revs, because they lack the power to do so. Whn you convert to 80cc they hit max revs much more easily. Also change the carb for a regular slide carb like on a XR70-110cc and you will get more revs.
Thats true it is very difficult to find some tuning parts for that engine I order them from Germany or from my driend from Stage 6 if you want to ask more things write me on my icq > 223-581-523
@cdsmith1990 yea you can get a gear up kit from Naraku Performance, they do all the usual stuff as well like main jets, race big bore kits as well as racing pistons, race cdi and race variators. you can also change the acceleration characteristics by changing the gear plate for a dogleg angle you can get most of this on Scooterassassins and ebay. these scoots have abit of go in em once there sorted out.
2 stroke FTW, theres no point in 4 stroke scooters, you need double the cylinder capacity to even put out as much power a 2 smoke. 70cc 2t vs 125cc 4t - dead even.
P.S. sticking an air filter on the bike doesnt make it tuned...
In some part you are right and to the second part sticking a sport filter doesnt make a bike tunned but putting a 80 ccm high performance cilinder putting a racing air cooler putting a higher air/fuel jet an other manz things that are hard to translate that makes it tunned ;}

the clutch and the vario but for example the 50ccm motor accelarates to maximum speed in 600 m an the 80 cc in 250 and in the near future i am planing to buz a 19 mm carburator so it will increase the power for another 20 percent .
True to an extent. Just because a 2 strokes has twice as many power strokes as a 4 stroke does not make it twice as powerful. The volumetric efficiency of a 2 stroke is not as good as a 4 stroke, so although you would think a 2 stroke produces twice as much power for a given capacity, it actually produces about 70% more power not 100% more. Still even that is pretty damn impressive.

You should have heard it in 8000 RPM very nice sound jet should be 88 or 90 and air/fule it depends but in these conditions between 2,5 - 3 turns and the filter size i dont know look in E-shops but a good filter is Malossi E5

It's a Walbro, which is a copy of a Keihlin. The engine is a copy of a Honda Elite engine from the 1980ies.

I just derestricted an Aprilia Mojito (Habana)

for some of them you can get an axhaust but for 139 Q?B engines very hardly I choosed to len my exhaust get remade by one company in slovakia

My Honda C50 (4-stroke) has got 70cc cilinder and a 90 cc head. it's top speed is 90 KM/H !
It also has a very nice sound
