When my girls go in labor, i help, it just look so painful! lol. I have never seen a baby kick that much. are they still doing well? It almost looked like he couldn't get air. we always suck out mucous from their nose and mouth.. very cute vid though:)
Because you don't need to pull it. The kids just come out on their own with gravity... just like human babies. ; ) Gravity also takes care of the mucus.
Yes after 15 minutes, its so much less painful for the doe if you help.. i'm all about natural birthing.. but that doe looked like she was having a hard time.
Actually, this girl seems to have gotten through it rather easy~ I've been working at a petting zoo since last spring and I've seen a first time mom give birth to triplets. It took her 15 for each kid, and she was screaming her lungs out each time she had a contraction. After each was born, she seemed to forget about all the trouble though :D She and her mother were both happily licking the babies clean~
My does usually push them out without a problem. If they start screaming too much, I try and help if i can, such as pulling the kid out if the head and feet are out. I saw a doe push out her insides from straining too hard during labor. Its not worth it to me. I say just help the doe. Its a good vid, but people need to understand that natural birthing is not always the best way!
aaaaaaaaaaaand ew:(
