  • I have returned and switched on to this lovely piece of music which I last played long ago; I must dig it out. Will email. Gerald.

  • Thank you - I'm delighted you are back safe and sound!

  • This reminds me so much of Grieg, even though the structure is completely different. Lovely piece Phillip. =]

  • Thanks! I have to say that Grieg did not enter my mind whilst playing it, but I can see what you mean when comparing the strong rhythms of this piece with, say, 'Wedding Day at Troldhaugen'.

  • Yes, the first bars really do seem to echo it. Not a bad thing at all though!

  • Wonderful playing Phillip! This piece cheers me up.

  • Thanks - it's always good to spread a little happiness!

  • Charming! Was it usuall structure of the Loure' to put a second part totally different and a third one - a set of little variations on the main theme?

By the way - Did you skip a part in the middle section?

    Thanks for uploading.

  • Thanks for your kind message. I think the Loure is just the basic dance tune that opens the piece. Nothing was skipped - I merely videoed it in two parts and joined them.

  • @wolkowy1 yeah great ,about as charming as a rattle snake in your underwear, none less its hard to play the piano to any real standard well done to the old fellow none the less
