Dave Weckl, Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Steve Gadd, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Chris Adler, George Kollias, the list goes on and on. Seriously, Linkin park, blink and Slipknot are not the only bands to ever play music, you fucking retards.

Exactly. With pop music having so much focus on singers, talented drummers are a rarity in mainstream music. It's all the same beats. And the only real house-hold names for drummers these days are Travis, Joey and Rob which is a god damn shame, because there are so many better drummers in the world. I bet I could give those three a run for their money in a drum off.

hmm I havent heard that much people talking about rob... but travis oh man how much credit he gets for being average...

my mate actually knows drums and has learned and played for like 10+ years so i talked with him about those famous drummers and he just grabbed his sticks, listened to a song and replayed it...

Yeah i can easily see where you both are coming from in this talk, but I would like to argue in Rob's case. He is a great drummer (nowhere near the best) but if you listen to songs like The Little Things Give You Away then you can tell that he does get very technical and works hard on his instrument. No doubt nothing on the great Buddy Rich, Mike Portnoy, Steve Gadd (debatebly, he's got some sweet fills) and I guess Dave Weckl, but I would choose him over the likes of Travis anyday.

Yeah I'm not saying he isn't good. I'm not saying that Travis isn't good, they both know how to play but they are overhyped... Travis especially... I for instance only know 1 or 2 persons who overhyped Rob but Travis I know about like 10 million or so...

Yeah I know you aren't and I completely agree with you. But still, i think that Rob is a very respectable drummer, but I know what you mean about Travis etc. Then again, Joey Jordison is pretty incredible too, for his genre.

@jellybean454 i love joey too..but i just hate slipknot..it doesn't fit with me..and even some die hard fans of slipknot say that 9 members is just too much!!
