Levy points to the rise of curation, categorization and librarian-like competencies associated with for "organizing the common memory," Rhiengold responds "There's something for which we don't really have a word yet... something like a knowledge citizen."
Consider "co-curator." And consider "procognity" to label a possible step beyond literacy. It's drawn from J.C.R. Licklider's "Libraries of the Future" which describes Memex-like devices connected through a "procognitive utility net."
When Mr. Levy was speaking about his students and having environmental awareness - are you, in your blog, duplicating something that is already being done and shared - I began thinking about Tribal Leadership and the 5 stages of organizations/tribes.
Now I'm wondering if another way to frame this thinking is to ask if your blog or post reflects a stage 3 tribe (I'm great and you're not) or a stage 4 tribe (we're great). Hmm.. food for thought. Thanks!
