In 1998 I spent 3 months in San Diego. At the fleet week the American soldiers and civilians faced Germany and the European Union with great respect and friendship. Its completely reasonable for people to hate political decisions any governments makes but hating a country is stupid. By the way, the British played a central role in securing the allied victory in WW2- it wasn't just the Americans. As a Briton, I love aspects of both the US and Europe and as such, endorse aspects of both. You shouldn't generalise Europeans.
