or you could not worry about the power of the motor at all. you could relax in the water and wait for a wave. you could paddle into the wave, ride the "natural" energy of it, and enjoy the true meaning of "surfing" ... .. but i guess you could just drop a stack of cash on a hokey, novel toy. same people probably own segways.
The reason bigger is better in this case is the ability of the rider to layover true G-Force Turns and the engine or board never loses the thrust...unlike the Surfjet where you have to come out of the turn to build up the speed each and every time. You can't knock it till you've tried it. You are comparing apples to oranges.
you still havent got it right Bob. your engines are overkill. i have ridden the 250 cc surfjet and could not understand why you needed so much horse power to move 1 person across water.bigger is not always better power to weight bob come on get it right.
