everyone in tool are real big fans of zeppelin and what they did for music. i've always considered tool to be the led zeppelin of our era anyways.

danny carey = john bonham

adam jones = jimmy page (riffing wise and in the studio)

justin chancellor = jpj

maynard isn't much like robert though :/

I like tool alot and I mean a hell of alot for their creativeness, but the skill and flexibility of their sound cannot be compared to Led Zeppelin except for Danny Carey. Led Zeppelin could cover rock, blues, jazz and a light carribean influenced sound; I have not seen anything close to this flexibility in Tool with the exception of Danny Carey.

Tool is still an awesome band though. Very wise in the structure of songs and clever lyrics.

your right about flexibility maybe. but skill? granted Led Zep has legends in the band, bonzo, jimmy page. Robert plant gets old and they didn't improve over time. Tool is the evolution of Led Zep. You don't need to play a bunch of shit and styles to be a good musician. You need to make magic with your sound. Tool does that better than anybody. Plus their sound continues to evolve as they mature. most bands fizzle out when they get old. This performance here is some of the best ever.

they usually play 90 minutes. that can be anywhere from 13 songs if they get em in or 8 with added jams and extended versions. this tour... jambi. stinkfist (extended). 46&2. Schism. Lost Keys (not played at APW)-->Rosetta Stoned (this was meant to be played live). Aenima. Flood(extended). Lateralus(extended). Vicarious.

would have liked to see another song or two added, but im more thrilled that they still sound great. the shows are still top notch.

They always sound great but they dont change up their shows at all. The art changes as far as the backdrops go and whatevr Grey comes up with for them.. But their set list was the same as when I saw the 10,000 days tour in 07... They ALWAYS play the same songs from anemia, you never hear euolgy or hooker with a penis, its rare if you hear H and never anything from Undertoe. Their set lists dont change anymore and thats my only problem.They also did the drum thing during lateralus as well in 07.

Thanks for posting these!!! My g/f and I got there too late to see Jambi or Stinkfist and only caught the second half of 46 and 2. Couldn't find the ferry and then it's a long walk, plus Will Call closed just before we got there so had to argue w/ the people at the table. But it was all worth it to see TOOL!!!!
