@SinisterLadybug I think that time, it would have been easier to just go to the post office.. I love using it though and having them come to my door to pick up the packages. It sure saves time during holidays when you have lots of packages to mail.. Usually, that is! haha
Anytime you want conversation ... call me! lol Best part about living in the warm weather is you can go visit the snow and get your fix and come back to the warm! Gotta love that! The hustle and bustle of the season (month of Dec) is what makes it fun. Make a list, check it twice and then decide who's been naughty or nice ... lol Have a hot toddy (very calming) or just a small glass of wine (moscato) in the evening and it will unstress you too. IJS
@htsgirl You are right, all the hustle and bustle is what makes the season and I am enjoying being out in the crowds, but I hate trying to come up with ideas for everyone! I have not run into one grouchy person in any stores yet! :)) My stress will leave when I am finished.. almost there.. now need to decorate and get a tree!!! LOL If I call, will you be around to answer? :)) xoxo
I don't live in a place where we get snow now either. Sometimes I miss it, but mostly I don't! I didn't know that about Bed Bath and Beyond...all the coupons they send me have expiration dates.
@SarahsAdventures I DO miss the snow but one to two days of it would be plenty to sustain me for years! haha Yep, save all those BB&B coupons! They are always good!!
No snow here yet! Woot! Girl I'm glad you are a little bit less stressed. After Christmas my stress levels will leave... hopefully. I'm still chugging along trying to get things done. Cantata tomorrow and then packages delivered monday. House cleaning tuesday. Church dinner on Wednesday... more house cleaning... friday Josh comes home! haha. Busy week for me. Hugs and Smooches. You're so cute!
@imperceptibleme You seem as busy as me! It's fun and all but I am ready for it to be over.. I still have house and tree decorating to do and then bathing and grooming the dogs! :(( The back breaking stuff! LOL Hugs to you and James! xoxo
Judy!! We've yet to have any amount of snow..the ground is clear..doesn't look like there will be a white Christmas this year..and that's OK with me..:) A new bike..that's very cool..:) Our shopping is done, the wrapping is done, the tree is decorated..just the baking left to do..a combined effort..:) Good luck with your cookies!!! Hmm..I wonder if running to the post office wouldn't have been quicker/easier..lolol No one to talk to? That's got to be H E double hockey sticks..lolol..xoxo
@shadow6326 Well aren't you just the organized one! LOL I still have the house and tree to decorate.. shopping is pretty much finished now! Yay!!!
Yes, going to the post office would have been quicker and easier but I was trying to save some money on postage AND have them pick the packages up, thus avoiding a trip there totally.. But by the time I finished, it was too late for a pick up without waiting another day.. ugh.. I know! No one to talk to! LOL xoxo
I see your sweet little nutcracker. You mentioned it yday and I actually thought about it yday when I passed by a few really cute nutcrackers.
So many things have been updated on the USPS website. Ugh. Glad you finally got all your packages done. Would have been quicker to take it in and stand in a line, right? HA! :)
@silverscreamgrl I love my little Nutcracker.. People ask where I got it! haha
Yes, I should have just taken them to the PO, but was hoping to schedule a pick up, avoiding the PO totally.. but by the time I finished, it was too late for that without waiting an extra day.. ugh.. lesson learned.. I'm getting a stand alone postal scale! LOL
@mysteryglo I've had a postal scale for probably more than 15 years and you will not regretting getting one. Almost everything I send lately is in first class category so it helps to just put a bunch of stamps on it!!
@CookingAndCrafting I do have a small postal scale but I think it only goes up to 3 lbs.. I need one that goes to, at least, 20 lbs so I can weigh boxes! I definitely will get one!! :))
Judy, yesterday it was 16C here (60F)! It is almost shocking! I can't remember such a warm December. Hello Max! Tammy's turtle cookies do sound good. Your cookies will be wonderful, I am sure. Just listening to what you were saying about the computer stressed me. Those kinds of things drive me nuts! You must be exhausted if you were up until after 3am!
It was good to see you - we are just headed out for lunch with my sister. Maybe I will vlog later!
@popparoc46 I think my cookies were a fail but everyone liked them. I will get a stand alone postal scale to use in the future.. that fiasco was ridiculous!
Your package arrived and I LOVE it.. My husband smiled at it too! :)) Thank you so much.. Your package will probably arrive late.. I mailed it on the 15th.. I'm always so late!
Hope you are ready for Christmas,.. I'm still struggling.. LOL
I has been very mild here too, all our snow melted. This morning we have a light dusting on the ground and it is below freezing (19F).
Eight packages is a lot and I see why you would want to get them ready at home, but it may have taken less time waiting in line at the post office, lol. I don't think we have the click and ship service for Canada, I'm going to have to check.
@yoyomax12 You are right, it would have been easier to take them to the PO, but I was hoping to schedule a free pick up so that I could avoid the trip there totally.. but it took so long to get things ready, it would have delayed pick up for another day.. :((
Your package arrived yesterday!! Love all the cookies! Hubby is devouring them! I may only get a few.. LOL Thank you so much!! Yours may be late in arriving.. mailed it on the 15th.
I much prefer warm over cold too but it just doesn't seem like Christmas without cold and snow!! Not that I want it but it helps to get into the spirit! LOL!! What a nightmare with trying to ship those packages! I ship tons of stuff but all I have is a kitchen scale that goes to 2lbs. If it weighs more than that, it goes in a flat rate box. Just easier and usually cheaper that way. Good luck on the bike shopping!! And dear Lord...I can't ever go into BB&B without buying SOMEthing!! LOL!!
@croutoncrackerjacks You are right, you need cold and snow to really get in the mood for the holidays! I mean, all the Christmas songs talk of snow and roasting chestnuts on the fire and stuff! Makes you want that! LOL I think I will get a stand alone postal scale for future mailings.. I DO have some flat rate boxes but my stuff wouldn't fit in those - not at Christmas time.. LOL Love BB&B..I never come out empty handed either! :))
Oh my goodness what a disaster with the stamps. At least you got it solved but that must have had you screaming mad. Good thing the stamps were saved on their sight. Maybe give
stamps.com a try next time and see how it works for you. Glad you are getting your stuff taken care of. I hope you can find that bike for your hubby. That is a cute little nutcracker hanging on your shirt Judy. Sounds like some Christmas memories I have being at my grandmas house in Germany.
@justwant2bhappy I am going to look into Stamps dot com.. I can get a stand alone postal scale to use.. I found a great bike, I think.. My son was a big help in helping me choose. :)) Childhoodt memories are so much fun to reminisce about.. I miss snow, but I could only take a day or two of it! LOL
What a mess with the postage! They ought to have a program that will be compatible with whatever computer you are using! Warm here too 49! A lot of rain and very, very windy today. I remember those winters you talked about. They aren't as bad anymore. Good luck with the bike. It's hard to get that stuff without the giftee with you! You seem a lot more relaxed. Yeah, go out for dinner, screw cooking! LOL
@wildheart5 It was a pain Barb, but I get myself into those fixes.. Once I start something one way, it will NOT defeat me! LOL I will preserver till I get it done! LOL That was a little ridiculous though. I think I found a bike that he will like.. My son was a big help! Almost done with things now.. on to the decorating! ugh xoxo
I had the day off today to finish shopping that so did not happen I ran out of ideas. Cool that your so rescued the bike how handy of him. Ive been want to go out to eat more Im to pooped to cook , let someone else do it :)
@MrsRedAng I know what you mean about running out of ideas.. have no idea what else to get my husband and he is no help at all, saying he doesn't need anything.. then come Christmas morning he will say, you didn't care enough to get me anything! LOL There is no pleasing them sometimes! I tell him he got what he asked for, nothing more, nothing less! LOL Yep, I hate cooking anymore...ugh
It was really warm here today too. You wouldn't think it was December if you were here. I didn't know that about Bed Bath and Beyond. I will have to start saving those cupon when I get them.
@grams1944 Bed Bath and Beyond is great for coupons.. They have gotten smarter though, in that on their 20% off coupons, they now have 20% now - by a certain date, and then 10% after that.. Still, 10% is better than nothing! :)) The $5 ones are the best, especially on cheaper items!
It's 80 here today and I was just thinking the same thing as I was driving around shopping...heheh We haven't baked homemade cookies in a few years and I may just do that this year also. Let us know what you end up making. Wow, you were REALLY determined with that whole click and ship thing. 6 hours is a marathon!!! Good for you!
@PaintedRavensong There is crazy weather everywhere but that isn't bad for where you are Mic! I ended up making those turtle cookies for the exchange and i thought they were a "fail" but everyone liked them.. They tasted ok, just didn't look like turtles! LOL I have learned from that click and ship thing.. no more PC programs for me.. I took the next batch to UPS to ship.. Much easier! haha
Judy ! Nevermind being in the south.....it's in the 50's here in Ontario Canada today ! Unbelievable! I should be out shopping, but it just doesn't seem like Christmas. Has hubby been a good boy to deserve a new bike? lol. hugs, Chris
@bugsinrug I'm not so sure he was a good boy but a bike and printer is all he asked for so guess that is what he should get! haha We got a cold front that came through but we are still in the 50's and low 60's. LOL Hugs to you Chris!
I love the snow as long as I don't have to go to work during a storm.
I haven't tried the online postage. I keep saying I'm going to try it, but then I end up going to the post office. lol
