If I use this live with my acoustic kit for percussion tracks will the headphone output be loud enough to not get buried. I have an old Roland drum machine and the problem is there isnt enough volume to hear very well. I really like this machine. I like it much more than the SPD-30. I am new at using these live so any info you can pass on will be very helpful
@Bflatest yeah, you totally can do. you can take a normal bass pad (even not yamaha, e.g. millenium etc.) or you can even take a hihat trigger pedal, plug it into "footswitch" chan and configure it as a "pad". this allows you to play kickdrum without the still very loud sound of a foot machine, hitting the bass pad.
good review, some very useful infomation there. Do you know if its possible to implement a good hihat functionality with a pedal? I mean, is it possible to choke off the open sound by closing the pedal, and to have the hihat get splashier as you slowly open it...
sorry not speak very good English. I wanted to ask about the metronome of the dtx m12. respect to TAP works? and if you can save different tempos in the ROM memory and then switch from one to another? had any problems or performance? I'm about to buy one of these but I could not test thank you very much and apologize for the inconvenience
if you can have multiple patters playing at the same time (triggered by different pads), can those patters be in different lengths and/or time-signatures ?
The manual doesn't address this, except in the "merge" function, where it advises against it.
how is the pad sensitivity for faint rolls and ghost notes? is it piezo based triggering or force sensing resistor as in the alternate mode drumkat midi controller?

As far as the hi hat input on the back, can I simply use another dual trigger pad in it's place if I don't want to use one?
