@crossworlds1 I did this the hard way before I had a capture card. I found a moment in a clip that I liked, then recorded two clips in the halo theater. They were with the camera the same distance from the subject, just spaced slightly apart. I made the start points the same, then took a screenshot of each frame of both clips and made a slideshow, which I then sped up 8x, making the fastest version appear like a video clip. Now I use bungie pro to render the clips instead of screenshots

@jak929 lmao i dont think its your eyes. your vision is naturaly crossed, you see crossed parallel actualy at right and left angles, main focus is made from the insides of your eyes. you may need to grab a mirror and focus on a finger. you naturaly cross your eyes when you read a book or look at a computer monitor. the only time crossing your eyes is bad for you is if your looking at something in the centerof your vision 2-5 inches from your nose.

It does work you just can't do it, and are to stupid to understand why it would work.

I'll explain it for you. In the real world, humans can see 3D because our eyes see the world from 2 slightly different positions. The angle is different.

Because this video is taken from 2 slightly different angles too, you will see the video in 3D when you manage to lock on both sides with 2 different eyes.

put your finger in front of your eyes wile looking at the video, the focus your finger to appear as one finger( since your finger will look like two in front of your eyes. wait till the video is clearer and then you will see cross eyed 3d

According to my resulting vision, the background (mountains, sky) looks near and the characters, tanks, cars, etc look far. In my experience this is because left image should be in the right, and right to the left.

I think the problem you are having is that you probably see stereograms in parallel, this video is cross-eyed. (The images are on the opposite sides)

It's as old as the hills. Look up a stereograph device. Back when they used to take still pictures using 3d cameras (I mean ye olden days, 1800's etc) they used that to blend the left and right images so you'd only see the 3d image, not the peripheral ones.

I once thought about doing the same thing with cheap cameras, but never did. Sometimes I take two photos, moving to the side a little bit to make them different, and in photoshop I merge them to see with 3d glasses or just put them next to see it cross eyed. But unfortunately I can only do this when photographing static objects or people. =)

;) I tinkered with that last night actually, using a single cam to take offset shots, used pspro to merge the images and applied a screen to the red/cyan layers. Worked better than I expected - I'd always made a too large a offset and they always sucked, but after seeing the clips on youtube, got me thinking..

All the instructibles I've seen on webcam hacks seem to have a load of problems. Damn, but still - it's good fun !

ya u gotta watch it in full screen. it works very well. The trick is to make ur eyes cross eyed like looking at ur nose. keep it in that position and look at the video or picture. a 3D picture will apeer in between the other 2 videos or pictures. once u get it, u'll be amazed.
