GREAT video, quick and to the point. I know it's years old now, but 3 minutes with this video revolutionized how I build houses. Before this video, I was doing everything the hard way with trial, error and manual calculations. With this, I threw together the frame of a complex house in just a few hours. where do you go to build stuff, because most of the time places are owned by people and won't let you create on any ground. Is there a special place?

go to a sandbox just write sand box at your serching places thing and ul find one. you will be able to drop and build stuff for a little time like a 1hr or more DONT FORGET TO CLEAN UP UR STUFF!

As for the video... the grid is a wonderful thing... and MORE people should use it... culling is a horrible thing people and the grid helps (most of the time) to rid your builds of it! (Culling being when the textures of two prims aligned at the same height ,or any other axis,fight to be the one that is showing.. not to be confused with the alpha issue)

Some do it because they are perverts (You have those in YIM, AIM, MSN, Forums, Chatrooms, etc. Not just in SL) While people like me have three our four spare male and female characters for simple roleplay, to build in peace, or just because some like to decorate both girl and boy characters (I have myself, 3 female characters and 7 male ones that I use in one place in SL for "Special Roleplay events" in places like District 13)

To make videos of Second Life, I use three methods; Camtasia, (the coolest) or Fraps, or take the SVHS output of one PC, and use a TV/PC convertor to feed it in to the USB port of another PC. All work.

in Entropia you can mine. that's about as exciting as watching a car rust.

then you can also shoot animals.

and spend real money on weapons and ammo.

you can not create anything, and it has no programming language built in.

it's an average roleplaying game.

Second Life lets you create and program anything. I lost interest in most games, cos they're so restricted. Second Life is the best virtual world platform ever.

You cant compare Second Life to Project Entropia. Its like comparing Apples with Tuna. :P Project Entropia (wasnt it named something else now?) is cool its own way (forexample stability and game elements), but it doesnt allow the user to be creative all the way to the design of a object. Second Life again does, but doesnt have any sort of gameplay (its a 3D Chat platform) You cant create your own looks for armor to the specific detail of a bolt.
