  • ADRIAN SWABY ARE YOU A MI6 WIZARD BARACK VIETNAM

  • There is no such thing as a better writer than John Grisham! Also, the movies created from his work are the absolute best!!!

  • I just finished reading this book.

Awesome, thought it was fiction until I read the whole story.

  • @joseNOTrizal Lol, me too! My teacher yelled at me for picking it, our books were supposed to be fiction haha :D

  • Good writer

  • "there are a lot of innocent people in prison". No shit Sherlock.

  • @Tressiensia shut your mouth you dirty pirate whore! you are but a mere speck of dust under my fingernail i will obliterate you!!!!! aghagfgaahagah!

  • John Grisham is awesome.

  • And Grisham Didn't think a book could do that much. Two years ago the organization called The Innocence Project based on this book freed 200 innocent people. Wonder what they have done since and are doing today. Thank you Grisham for proving yourself wrong!!!!!!!! Keep making differences. We'll keep reading.

  • He sounds like a good man.

  • @Sconz32 I think so too. I read his Aknowledgements in the Chamber 1st thing & was gripped by that before I even started any plot. He not only praises those who helped, but he talks to u just like this interview & lets u know what you can expect from the book. He really does open eyes in his writing. The Chamber shows how disgustingly savage so called humane executions have been & how flawed the court system is. The Street Lawyer shows the injustice of how the government reacts to the homeless.

  • After reading this book & living in Ada,Oklahoma myself, It really bothers me & scares me to know that our hometown police are such irresponsible & stupid men. it also scares me to think if a murder like this happened to me, would my murder be resolved & would they convict the right person? The next thing that scares me, the killer is still out there because of these dumbasses.

  • I have this book . but innocent or guilty is judged by only society that means the guys.

murder is guilty why - the life is only one, and very very many money and times will be losed for our life.

but the diffelent is what race or crime? both of them is get to money and benefit.

    and power relation. plz

  • Great Book!

William N. Peterson is an unethical immoral POS

  • This is Phoenix Wright that happened in real life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is one of my favorite books of all times. Grisham's fan all the way from Saudi

  • I love this book it's of the best crime novels I've ever read, it's right up their In Cold Blood, and I think a lot of people think this would make a great film. Personally, I think this would make a much better mini-series, I'd watch every episode.

  • I'm halfway through the book right now, it was given to me by my aunt as an xmas present, and I gotta say Its a book no one can afford to miss... Truly gripping.

  • Im just almost done with The Street Lawyer

  • I *highly* recommend everyone read this book. I promise that by the end of the book you'll be shaking with a mixture of anger and sadness. The only book that moved me to tears.

  • I went to college in Ada when this book came out. It is a very very sad story and I feel so bad for people who are wrongly convicted.

  • when you are famous you may suddenly discover thousands of relatives who were never there. But try to be poor and needy and also suddenly you become the last twig of your branch alive.

  • if u like john grisham's books take a look at greg iles he's quite good too

  • no da its about mississippi half my family lives there and im related to him

  • I'm sure you are. And I'm his long lost son.

  • ur an idiot im related 2 him cause my name is josh grisham and he is my 3rd cousin

  • Just because you have the same name as him doesn't mean your related, moron. So does that mean that if your name was "John Doe", then you would be related to EVERY SINGLE John Doe in this world?

  • wow fag grow up im his third cousin retard

  • You do realize your embarrassing yourself when you say things like that, right?

  • @grishman24 ur his third cousin...

  • i believe u at least lol

  • ha u are all jelouse im related to him

  • the book "streetlawyer" is a masterpiece!

We all can take a leaf out of Mr. Grisham´s book- he is a great writer and man!

  • ill be reading it soon soo thanks for the recomendation

  • just finished "the street lawyer" and i agree it was a masterpiece...with a great theme

  • A brilliant book by a brilliant author and a truly heartbreaking tale of a mans life ruined by people who even now wont apolagise for their actions.

  • ohh that is why most of his books are about missisipi,

  • Interesting man with very nice values imo.

  • Read this book in County Jail....

  • i finished this book...its one of my favorites from the rest..im now reading the last juror.pretty good 2:]

  • I just finished reading the book and it was amazing. I don't really read non-fiction, but I like John Grisham. I like his books and I find them all intriguing. 'The Innocent Man' was amazing. I can't wait to read the book by Dennis Fritz. I'm glad it's mentioned in the comments else I would have never known of its existence. The way in which the case was first handled is outrageous and shocking. The fact that the state found it so difficult to give an apology irritates me.

  • i love his books and this book is somthing very special...I love you John Grisham !!

    I love all his books

  • I have just finished reading this book, and I like Richter Belmont69 absolutely bawled my eyes out for a long time afterwards... it was such a damn sad story. Poor Ron Williamson and Dennis Fritz, and also Tommy Ward and Karl Fontenot. Something has to be done to free Tommy and Karl. These men should not be in jail. I plan to read Dennis Fritz's story next.

  • I am looking forward to read it

  • Awesome book, I was hooked from day one and it became hard to put it down. What A horryfying journey through williamson's life of mishaps!!

  • This is the first and only book in my life that made me cry... I cried for about thirty minutes when I finished reading it. The saddest thing is that this isn't an isolated case, there are others... Great read though.

  • if you liked this book and the story shocked you like it did me...read dennis fritzs book 'journey towards innocence'....these men can never be repaid for what the judicial system and the people of ada and the dept. of corrections did to them. thank god for people like barry scheck and the peopple of the innocence project.

  • Finished the book, tremendous book. Recommend it to anyone.

  • Ron Williamson, Dennis Fritz, Tommy Ward and Karl Fontenot are "collateral damage" of police and prosecutor's inefficiency. Start kicking those kind of asshole from service

  • cool book. got a couple of chapters left to read though.......

  • WOW what a book, and Mr.Grisham you are 100% right, the sheriff's in Ada need to really poen up their eyes!

  • This is a great book!

  • Great writer! Read Pelican Brief :-)

  • I think John Grisham is great! Like his books.

  • The only reason I kept reading this book was to just freakin finish it. 200 pages of the same crap repeated over and over. It was awful.

  • Ghettoduce, shame on you. Have some respect! This is a true story about two innocent men who suffered greatly for 12 years and you describe it as 'the same crap repeated over and over' I pity the fool!!

  • Ghettouce, have you not got it yet??? This could happen to you, then you could write your own story of going through hell. I say, every word bares repeating to make some people "get it". Having know Debbie Carter and watch her family's heartbroken days ahead was NO CRAP! John Grisham, thank you!

  • I so agree!!!!!

  • Well you clearly didn't finish it then because it's 500 pages, 500 pages which i consumed within 24 hours. It was a fascinating page turner of a book and actually very moving. Well done Grisham.

  • Hey man your right. Some of his books are awful. The New york times and the media always hail these rich authors. Screw that man.

  • He rules all.

  • Just read The Innocent Man and it was awesome...

  • I'm a huge fan! I have everybook he has written in hard back. I would love to have atleast 1 signed. Hard to say which was my favorite, But really enjoyed "A Painted House"

  • his books are AWESOME!!!

currently im readin "The Testament" one of his best books i've ever read, pretty kewl!

i can't wait to read "The Innocent Man"!

well done man and John, keep up the good work!!!

  • I just bought the Testament! I am gonna start to read it too! It looks soooo good!

  • Agree! I bought the book to pass the time and I got obsessed with it. Innocent until proven guilty - Guilty until proven innocent. Very touching. After reading this book I feel differently about the Death Penalty?

  • i just picked up "The Street Lawyer" at my school library. its nice.

  • this book should be called "the innocent men"

  • I just finished reading the book and it's just shocking. On May 22, 2007 Dateline did a piece on the book and the story. I've tried finding the video on the net but can't find it and Dateline's website doesn't have the video anymore. If someone has a link to it somewhere please post it. I'm dying to see it.

  • the beat autor of all time. all his books are great

  • Having just finished reading "The Innocent Man", which I found compelling, I was left with a sense of disbelief at the seemingly incompetent and corrupt local law enforcement and legal system. I was surprised that nobody seemed to have lost their job and that District Attorney Bill Peterson still held that position today. He has a website addressing The Innocent man and is essential reading for those who want a balanced look at the storey

  • just finished this book............amazing...........i think everyone should read this book. A shocking story

  • my grandma got me hooked on john grisham about 3 years ago. i have a hard time putting any of his books down. i have read every one of his books at least twice.

  • this guy could kick steven kings ass, but stephen king is scarier and could kick some of his owns ass

  • Playing for Pizza is great

  • I'm working on my fifth Grisham novel and I have to say I am addicted! The Firm was the first one I read and also my favorite. The mental pictures and events/suspense is very memorable and something that is missed whenever I put one of his books down.

  • you and me both! I read one of his books....Bang, I'm a fan. I'm currently reading "The Client", Reggie is such a real character in this book...it's like I know a reggie in real life. Grisham is top shelf!!

  • Thank You so much! I was looking for an interview with him on this book and I was looking on google and it lead me here! Thanks thanks thanks!!! I'm doing a book report...so thanks a million!!! haha!!!

  • John Grisham's the man! I've read The Summons and A Painted House and they are both great.

  • I like this book immensely that and his book A painted House not keen on his other books. The Innocent Man is the first book written by him that was NON fiction

  • nice compelling story about a rotten justice system. Should be a good reason for lawyers to come to the aid of poor inocent victims. Why not start with Ward and Fontenot. It's been more than 20 years.

  • Heeey folks! Im new reading John Grisham. I have seen a few films but havent seen "The Firm" what should i do? WATCH THE FILM? OR READ THE BOOK? please could you guys help. cheers :P

  • Read the book then Watch it ... and yeah dont Forget Reading Pelican Brief.

  • I agree with houseygirl

  • john grisham is the best of the best ! loved the last juror

  • I 100% agree The Last Juror was one of his bests becasue it was somethign different for him. A few of his books are very alike but The Last Juror was like nothing else he had writen. I only wish it had had a happy ending.

  • i love his bookks!!! the pelican was the best

  • Crap. I almost hit on his pictures on his books' back cover. Glad to have this little misconception set straight here.

  • i love john grisham books!!! read every one of them!

  • the greatest writer for me.. God bless you mr grisham from the philippines.. =) how i wish to be like you..i know i need more practise though. hehe

  • i adore his books!

  • John Grisham is GREAT!! His books are the best- hands down... and I love his subtle southern drawl, it's so cute! :D

  • He is not as good as A.M.AKRAM OUT WITH HIS FIRST NOVEL IN 2008-2009

  • john grisham may very well be the best amercian storyteller writing today.
